The hand design I used for this version of Archer belongs to 0nuku. "I am the bone of..." For reference, 'Calad Bolg' is the lance-rapier Archer holds in the title picture. Continue reading.
About this creation
I think you should turn it down, but not turn it off. It'll add to the reading experience.

Sweet poster by RaptorTalon!

“Heeheeheeheehee!” A loud cackle caws from my mouth as I stand on the lamppost, a few feet above Servant Rider— which just so happens to be Toa Vakama on a Kikanalo beast. He can do nothing but fire silly Kanoka disks at my body—petty Kanoka disks.

“Feel privileged, mongrel Toa,” I smile, “It’s truly a once in a lifetime whim that I choose to bring out Calad Bolg for the likes of you.” I extend my arm into the deep night and reach out for what’s not there, but it will come to me.

I chant: “Trace, on.” And focus my magical energy on casting my magnificent weapon. “I came to this place to create Wars. So as I pray, let there be White and Black.”

My Magic Crest on my arm comes ablaze in a brilliant blue light: blue means I generally use my magic selflessly and for the greater good. Green, for example, would indicate a selfish magus.

My lance-rapier, Calad Bolg, joins hands with me, and I leap down from my post, Calad Bolg at my side, and I invite Vakama and his beast forward to its tip. And charge they do.

“Born already walking this Path. Passing by graves like my Own, to which never will I Return.” I Draft a suitable longbow for Calad Bolg, changing my lance-rapier’s shape as I do so to make it arrow-like; removing the handguard.

I put it to the string of the long bow and say—“From dusk ‘til dawn I have awaited one’s Arrival…”
I pull the string and feel the tautness of the bow’s shape, and release after saying: “I am Light to Dark!”

My bow’s righteous messenger flies through the charging, reckless Toa of Fire, and I have proven with an arrow to his heart that the legends of the Fool of Fire were no lie indeed.

“Shattered is the glass of thy Heart. Once more unto greater heights: for I am the bone of your Sword.” Addressing the last part of my chant to the people of the island I have protected for as long as I’ve drawn breath, I turn my back on the disintegrating Heroic Spirit and begin to walk back to where my newfound friend sleeps. For a friend, I will destroy continents and ravage lands. For a friend, I will kill these Servants and if need be, their Masters.

Five more to go. Five more heads to collect. Ten more greed-filled existences to shatter.

I contemplate this evil or good deed as I make my way home, and think also how I don’t know how this Holy Grail War began.

Yes, I know that ‘Servants’ made from Heroic Spirits of the past fight in a Battle Royale for a wish from the Holy Grail… But I stopped the last one, so who has restarted them? Shouldn’t I be the only one capable of doing that? I, Servant Archer?

And then a bizarrely familiar voice (that I should be the one producing) assaults me from behind:
“Archer… Are you ready?”

Quoting Chopperskull (Jon Z) I really like the simple yet clever piece choices for his bow and arrow, especially the arrow head ! Kanoka disks are no joke man, but if Archer is skilled with that bow then I see why he's being so cocky. I don't understand why he needs to be so overly dramatic over every little thing xD ! I'm kidding, your writing is pretty great, man. :) AS FOR THE MOC: I love the perfect blend between keet-orange, black, and light grey. The upper torso construction seems to be my favorite part of this MOC. I kinda wish you would have removed the cloak pieces so we could see the MOC's construction a bit better, but it's fine. Pretty great self Moc !
Thanks man! The reason I didn't show him without the cloak is that the upper part is built deeply into his spine area, and I would have had to deconstruct the whole torso - which is compact and complex - in order to remove it. Frankly, I was too scared I wouldn't be able to rebuild it! And yeah, Archer is rather overconfident, getting over his own ego is centrifugal to the story I have planned for him. His ego is a result of a defensive reaction to insanity and how he crawled out of a terrible mental state. A kind of, "I can't be insane, I'm incredible" type of thing, which only half-fixed his unstable sanity. I'll delve more into it in the future, when I reach the happy day when this long night ends, where I can pick a few bricks up and be inspired to make something again, heh heh.

Quoting Quartz roolz 0_0 its a he! i am so sorry. i honestly dont know why i said she. now, excuse me while i go and cry in the coner over what i have done.
Absolutely not, I'll have none of that. I view it as 'indirect critique' :P and I'll maybe try to make Archer a little more masculine in the future.

Quoting Pakari Nation99 (G Hayes) Great usage of the Star Wars pieces, although they look like they block ankle articulation a little bit. Also, great sword!
Thanks, Gabe! And no, they don't restrict the ankle articulation at all, or else I wouldn't use them. When building MOCs, we must take good care of articulation, because with articulation comes the ability to strike poses, and poses help character immensely.
Quoting Chains Productions Great job! I love the build and the writing is phenomenal. That head piece is used very well.
Thank you very much. The complements to my writing are the most flattering of all.

Quoting Quartz roolz 0_0 i am textless. the writting is great, if slightly expositional in places, and the mocitelf looks pretty nice. although, i dont like her in the way that she is forgettable. there is nothing interseting or unique to her. eh. just me. good job.
I agree with the exposition wholeheartedly. The trouble with writing on MOCPages is twofold: drawing in new readers who may not have read the last post (or other previous ones), and not boring those who have read it (/them). Also ,it's a he, and Archer is my self-MOC. I can understand your confusion though: the MOC has a rather slight build and the waistcape certainly wouldn't help.
Quoting Earu ,the Wise One Interesting!
Quoting RaptorTalon ~ Very nice!
I sincerely thank you both for your sentiments.
Quoting Sunder • I really like the cape/cloak/kilt thing (whatever it is, it looks cool) and the weapons are very sleek and well-done. As previously said, nice usage of the SW leg armour piece on the shins and the sword! Very well done!
He has a rag thrown over his shoulders that once belonged to a fallen friend, and a waistcape as well. Hah, should I change any more cloth parts I'll make sure to make it clearer what they are. Thank you very much for your words.
Quoting ~ Hazzy :]
There will come a day when you return from whence you came. But for now-- =3
Quoting Dragoneye Creations Pretty cool. Love the weapons. And sorry that I haven't made your SM yet, I was really busy with school, but now I'll get the chance to work on it.
Hahah, worry not. There's nothing to feel but pride to have been focusing on your school studies.

That was absolutely brilliant writing! The moc itself looks great, with a very nice color scheme and well made pack and cloth around his waist. The use of the Star Wars buildable figure piece on the shins and on the sword was genius and it flows very nicely with the moc. I really have no critique for this moc.

Thank you very much, Blizzard. Frankly, you're one of the few-the-proud who read the stuff I put up. I'm not sure though. I think the combination of the last image and writing where "Archer2" confronts "Archer V2" isn't done great. I mentioned that the green Magic Crest meant selfishness: and "Archer2" has that green forearm that shows an evil, selfish magus. But ah, all the more to improve on for next time. Thanks very much for your kind words! ^^)
