Kirov-class battlecruiser, 1:700 (upd)
Russian Kirov-class nuclear battlecruiser, 1:700 scale
About this creation

Cruisers Project 1144 (code "Orlan", NATO code - Kirov class) - a series of four heavy nuclear missile cruiser, built at the Baltic Shipyard in the USSR from 1973 to 1999, only a part of the Russian Navy's surface ships with nuclear power plant. According to NATO classification project is referred to as the "Kirov-class battlecruiser", meaning "battle cruiser" because of its exceptional size and armed.

The last ship in the series - cruiser "Peter the Great", the flagship of the Northern Fleet. The appearance of this ship in any region immediately sharply changing military and political situation. With huge potential "first strike", which is difficult to oppose anything in peacetime, either cruisers pr.1144 also able to ensure the stability of the underwater strike forces in the region.

Full-hull version

Previous version, real bricks. I made a little mistake on the scale and it came out a little less than necessary.

With the aircraft carrier "Admiral Kuznetsov".

My model is built in the scale of 1:700, for the construction took 370 (282 - above waterline) bricks.

I hope You liked this ship! :)

Quoting Red October Are you ever going to make a full hull version in 1:350? I'd love to see that.

Quoting Kurt's MOCs I love this ship and this model is great. Nice work at this scale. I think you captured all the right aspects with the minimal amount of bricks. Beautifully done!
Thanks, Kurt! I have long hesitated to begin construction of this ship )) He started only when decided that it should turn out not bad.

Quoting Henrik Jensen ...but I think the superstructure looks a bit too stealthy and too modern.
Slightly corrected.

Quoting Henrik Jensen A very nice miniature battleship, but I think the superstructure looks a bit too stealthy and too modern.
Thank you, Henrik! Too modern look? Maybe)) Perhaps the lack of detail in the case of superstructures and, especially, the foremast. The first version was more primitive)) may be able to improve.

Quoting Jimmie Martinez Another magnificent MOC from you. Well detailed and a pleasure for the eye at this scale. BOAJEWD
Thanks, Jimmie! Kirov - a beautiful and famous ship with a recognizable silhouette. It was nice to make it a model.

Quoting Stuart Lucas Very good build indeed - the hull shape is particularly well done. Great!
Thanks, Stuart! With the body had a lot of work. The selected scale it should be 5 studs wide. 4 or 6 would be much more convenient))

Quoting Indy Beetle Nice build, and I must say I really like the missile silos and the aft turret on Pyotr Velikiy. It truly is the last evolution of the battleship/battlecruiser. As much as i have problems with Russia's use of force in most recent decades, I'll be excited to see the other ones returned to service.
Thanks, Indy!

Nice job! I have to admit, though, that when I saw the title, I thought it might be the HMS Vanguard.

Quoting Stephan Niehoff The ship has become beautiful. But at the bow, it might be a little longer. In the photo the ship looks longer and slenderer
Thank you! This is the angle the photo, it creates an illusion and adds agility bow. I checked with the design drawings on a scale 1: 700. Although check again))
