STEAM 2015
The Great Western Brick Show had a good year, again.
About this creation

Kudos to my neighbours David Ayton and James Cherry, who appear completely unconcerned by the prospect of a large crane falling on their heads in the above pic.

Even better than the Lego is the people, Everyone is always warm and friendly here, including the visitors; one of which was Sam the First, who's taller than I imagined. It's always nice to put a face to a name, thanks for stopping by Sam!

Below, this is David's Airbus A400M, one of the most powerful turboprop planes ever built apparently. He would know, he works on them for a living for the RAF...

James meanwhile presented this gorgeous and very shiny P51 Mustang.

More planes - this one's Ralph Savelsberg's 'Top Gun' tribute.

Ralph's been busy with the movie cars this year...

It was a great show for vehicles. Dennis Bosman showed up with this...

And these... the truck and bulldozer are a whole lot better than the photography...

Carl Geatrix's Caterham 7 - glorious, currently in review on Lego ideas. PLEASE make it Lego!

Technic wonders from Barney Main, including this incredible robotic hand.

Ten motors, RC, very very heavy but it carried on working all weekend, much to my own surprise.

Classic space corner, Peter Reid never disappoints...

Didn't ask how swooshable it is, but it's a beauty.

This one certainly is swooshable..

An even more classic rocket...

Don't leave all those brick separators unattended, this is what they'll get up to!

There were non-space ships as well...

The Mayflower. THAT's how you present a ship! It's not how you photograph one however but oh well...

Bright Bricks brought along an old friend...

And here's one that'll fit on your mantelpiece. You can vote for it on Ideas.

Since the show is in a train museum...

Love this terrace, beautifully done.

Fun at the fair. The monorail track stayed rock steady even with the train at maximum altitude!

A very beautiful, and large, station...

In this picture are 11,500 2x2 clear panels!

Now for something completely different. A massive collaborative diorama built by James Pegrum and co. who go by the title 'Bricks To The Past' and bring something awesome every year.

This year, Hadrian's Wall. This is an Iron Age village, showing how far the Brits had got by themselves 2000 years ago...

It's fair to say the Romans managed to supercharge development somewhat...

The Emperor Hadrian. I stared at this for a long time... best mosaic build I've ever seen!

Although this one is pretty close... watch out, you know he'll shoot first...

More ABS beauty...

Vaughan Medway's town is wonderfully built, but not as safe as it first appears...

The Friends are everywhere! Including in the jungle...

Also they are agents, thanks to Lucy Houghton.

Make your eyes go funny...

These modern interpretations of classic sets were a real treat...

Expect the 2016 show to be even better! See you there.

I've been there! IT was great! Looks like some things were added since I was there, or maybe I just missed something! Hadrian's wall was very impressive! I also saw two rollercoasters crash on the fairground build, one fell off! =)

Entertaining reportage, Nick, but you gave no credit to a particularly talented builder responsible for several of the masterpieces shown here. I'm referring, of course, to one Nick Barrett.
