"Udaloy II" class destroyer 1:350
Russian destroyer "Admiral Chabanenko" (pr.11551 "Fregat 2"). Scale 1:350 Update: added LDD-version, correct proportions and some details.
About this creation

The destroyer "Admiral Chabanenko" is a deep modernization of the large anti-submarine ships "Udaloy". The developers managed to dramatically enhance the attack missile and artillery armament of the ship, while maintaining its anti-submarine capabilities. Replacing bulky antisubmarine missiles "Rastrub" (SS-N-14 Silex) new - "Vodopad" (SS-N-16 Stallion, which are fired from torpedo tubes), as well as installing a gun mount AK-130 instead of the two AK-100, allowed to find a place for eight supersonic missile "Mosquito" (SS-N-22 Sunburn). Antisubmarine mortars RBU-6000 was replaced with a antitorpedo system RBU-12000, and two battery gatling gun mounts AK-630 - the same number of CIWS "Kortik" (CADS-N-1).

The model is built from real bricks.

Bow VLS SAM "SA-N-9 "Gauntlet", 130-mm gun mount AK-130, quadruple launchers anti-ship missiles "Mosquito", fire control radar.

CIWS CADS-N-1, aft VLS SAM "SA-N-9 "Gauntlet" and launchers of anti-torpedo system RBU-12000 "Udav".

Deck based Ka-27 class helicopter.

The destroyer carries two helicopters.

My model is built in the scale of 1: 350, for the construction took 605 (514) bricks. Photos in high definition in VK

Quoting Locutus 666 Instantly reconizable great build! Very well done! Now you just needto find a way to make those Kamov chopeprs a little more authentical.
Thank Lokutus! Yes, the helicopter turned slightly more than necessary, plus coaxial screw I do not realize. LDD-version of the helicopter turned out even worse than the built of the real items, since the program does not allow to carry out a number of specific solutions, which in its view are incorrect. Gun mount AK-130 also had to redo, and I am not happy with the result. There is still work to do)))

Quoting C.K. Yee Wow this is my favorite ! Your expert of using parts that bring out the details look really awesome. The torpedo and the most amazing mini helicopter is really well built.
Thank you for high rating! Start the creation of this model, I long hesitated. I was able to build this destroyer was only when I picked up some experience from the masters from this site. But still a lot to learn ))

Quoting Nick Barrett The level of detail is really impressive; it looks superb.
Thanks, Nick! I need a little bit more correct proportions. In pursuit of details, I made the superstructure a little higher than they should. I'll fix it on the classic "Udaloy" ))

Quoting Henrik Jensen Very good Work here! Great to see your model next to a refence Photo for comparison. A tricky scale to recreate all of the fine details, but You have managed in a fine way, to add the mainpart that makes it easy recognizeable.
Thanks! Almost all Soviet / Russian warships have aggressive appearance. Reproducing the most important elements of the model will make recognizable - inclined launchers, developed superstructure, masts and other. I had to try, but still far from ideal))

Quoting El Barto ! Cool builds! Tons of details, especially at that scale.
Thanks! Inspired by manufacturing the parts, I seem to have a little bit wrong with the proportions)) Now I correct ...
