A couple modifications to my 2015 Bionicle sets!
About this creation
Hello everyone on the Pages!

WOAH! Iíve uploaded something! Thatís right, Iím still alive and kicking, and bringing you a new post!

And what a post it is. I tried to upload earlier today, but I accidentally pressed some buttons while typing on the next to last picture and bam...gone. All of it. And itís a long post. So, Iíll try to keep this one extra short. Iím currently listening to Mortal Kombat, so itís getting me pumped to do this fast.

So while Iíve been gone a while Iíve had time to look back on this past wave of Bionicle 2015. They are all still great sets, but now without my hype glasses on I can see that there is still some room for improvement. Since I havenít picked up any Skull Villains, I took the good old Toa here and modified them to my liking. So without any further introduction, letís get into those mods!

Here they all are! Weíll get into individuals later.

First off, something cool to make is this mask stand. Itís based off the one that came with Grinder and Ekimu.

Back view.

All you need are the three length lift arms, but beware! If you want the mask to be snug youíll have to pull the lift arms apart a little bit.

The Maassstaaaa of FFFIIIYYYAAA! Tahu.

Legs are mostly the same, with just his armor flipped around. Why? It looks better that way to me.

Unfortunately because of that I couldnít put the back armor on. Bummer. Also, heís missing his friction extenders in his ankles. Youíll see why.

Chest is the same as in my review.

I added these hand connectors to fill out his torso and cover the ball joints.

And this one to fill in the gap that was there.

I also added a Mata gear to his back because: 1. Itís easier to turn and 2. I like it and it looks cool.

POSES!

He can still lava board.

On to the *Batman voice* Master of Stone!

I added Mata feet and kickers, since they are a trait of Pohatu and I love them too!

I used Tahuís friction extenders on his knees to fix the proportions on his legs, make him a little taller, and fix the knee armor sticking out too far when bending his knees.

Hand connectors here. Also, when Michael and Lew lent him to me they forgot the one armor piece or used it, so I replaced it with this one.

Mata gear, I raised his gear box up one notch, and added these tan connectors instead of bushings for two reasons...

...the first is boomerang storage....

And the other involves removing them and placing them here so...

He can still use them as jetarangs!

I preferred the kickers over these, but when he has them on he still looks cool. I like to imagine him running super fast with them like he used to with his mask. Also, I was going to edit this picture, but I forgot, so ignore my giant hand in there.

POSE!

And finally the Master of Earth!

Custom hammer. I used his hammer pieces and I wanted him to have a hammer, but it is a little tiny and useless.

Kinda custom legs. I ran out of CCBS to make his legs, so I opted for these temporary ones.

The colors are all over, and the shins are kinda small, but they do their job.

The torso is based off another mod I found. It basically involves switching out the old torso for a long one. I canít find my large black one, so it is unsightly ORANGE!!

A look inside and you can see whatís going on.

New back armor, Mata gear, and some modified shoulders to fit in his arm armor.

Arms are arms, but a little bit different.

Thatís how thatís done, as far as I gathered from the mod this is based off of.

border="0" width="500" height="469" alt="">
Skull Spider legs make his claws!

Finagling some pieces mounts his hammer on his back!

Full claw mode! The gear function works better in this mode.

POSES!

Size comparison with Tahu. Much better relation there, just like the animations.

Now all I need is Kopaka and I can reenact the scene where he lifts them both up by their heads!

Added bonus, Korgot! Anyone else believe the Protector of Earth is a female? I like it, personally!

With Onua.

EXTRA MASKS!

Tahu and his trans...red? Orange? Mask. Thanks Michael and Lew for that!

Pohatuís Golden Mask!

Onuaís Golden Mask!

Tahuís Golden Mask!

And here they are assembled again, looking all awesome with their powerful Golden Masks!

Tahu Mata: Oh yes, I bet youíre all so proud of your accomplishments. After all, it takes so much skill to open a box and claim your gold masks...

Tahu Mata: Some of us had to work for ours...

Woah, I wonder why Tahu doesnít have his mask on?...

Anyways, thatís it for my 2015 mods! Feel free to tell me what you guys did to make the Toa fit your tastes! Iíll be back another time with the first of my Doomed Toa Updates and the Toa Mata Revamps all together!

Also, what do you think of the main pic? Just curious.

And also, something's up with this editor...I put red for the Tahu text, and even the actual color code, but it just come up green. C'mon, MOCPages mods, fix your darn site!

As always,
Comment and Enjoy!

Quoting Leximatic LJ2 Q4R These mods are great. Finally somebody did something about Tahu's shins! Originally they look so awkward, like FurnoXL's also did (same build)and nobody seems to care. I myself gave him bigger bionicle feet. With FurnoXL StormerXL'S feet work perfectly. Anyway. Finally somebody covered up the ball joints. LEGO should produce special small balljoint-covering parts. I like your mods. Pohatu got better feet now, Onua got his claws back, and you got the flaw solved, that the original used same shaped parts for shoulder-armour and claws and a hammer in that very set. What you did, gave this set more straightness, more consistence, that was necessary.
I feel flipping the shin armor makes it look more like a piece of armor with a knee guard, rather than a pair of baggy pants! And thanks for your input!

Quoting scrap metal I think your Onua has a few good ideas, but it would be better if you scrapped the G1-for-the-sake-of-G1 claws and went back to the proper shovel claws, which make more sense anyway. And the hammer could be fixed with a longer shaft and using the shovel parts for the hitting-stuff end.
I agree that the shovel claws make more sense, but I only have one Onua and I prefer that the piece be used for his lower arms' armor. I'll try it out and see how it looks, but I was a little skeptical to do so considering the actual hands would be pretty small compared to him now!

Very nice designs with all of them. Onua's design is good, but the colors bother me, but it doesn't matter too much to me since they're temporary. I'm interested in what that last picture meant...

Quoting Kira Redlof I will agree, not so sure about Onua, but man, Pohatu looks way better in your mods, the same goes to Tahu as well!
Thanks, I like Pohatu a lot better that way!

They bother me too... I think my black torso grew legs and ran away or something...and it will be revealed in time.

Quoting StudentScissors BioMOCer I'm not a fan of the Onua mods. He looks messy and it gets rid of the hunchback short but huge look Onua is famous for having. I honestly feel it's a large downgrade...
I get what you're saying, but really it's just my personal preference. I like his size in the animations, and to me the set itself was just too wide and too short. I feel this evens him out a bit. And yes, he is very messy, but that's down to me lacking the correct color parts and more CCBS. I seriously wonder where my black torso is...
