Okotian Gostoks (Okoto RPG Mission 3)
The Okoto RPG is back! Maybe, it's not looking all that hopeful at the group. Nevertheless, I am here to contribute to its revival with my entry for mission 3!
About this creation
This is for the Okoto RPG, as I have made clear.

Put simply, in the words of Toa Blizzard the Storyteller himself:
"Your task is to create a species native to Okoto that will help your team to defeat the evil forces of... well, evil."

At first I was trying to think up of a new species for this; I wanted something that would be a flip side to the villigers, an 'anti-Okotian', if you will. After a little while though, I decided that it would be more useful for me if instead of coming up with a completely new species that I would never use again, I used this to expand on a civilisation that I am already building up, that is; the Toa hatin' Gostoks. So here we go.

You might want to take a look at the original Gostoks first though, because the following backstory is otherwise not going to make any sense.

Okotian Gostoks:
In an alternate world, the Gostoks were a species on the island of Okoto. They were very similar to the Gostoks of Racta Magna in both their appearence and their social structure, though these Gostoks were shorter and wore brighter armour. As far as we know, Alphas and Aberrants did not exist on Okoto; their leaders instead would have been village elders, whose roles very closely mirrored those of the Protectors.

These Gostoks disliked the Okotian villagers as opposed to the Matoran and waged a brief war with them over territorial disputes. The Gostoks lost this feud, but instead of being killed off like the Racta Magnan Gostoks, they were driven underground, where they lived in quiet spite towards the victors. It should be noted that their hideout was far below the Region of Jungle, and they would not have had contact with the Region of Earth.

Despite their hatred for the Okotian villagers, these Gostoks have no dislike for the Toa, and would happily aid them against the Skull creatures and Darkened Spirits if they were required to, so long as they did not have to deal with the Okotians along the way.

Here is a typical male Gostok of Okoto. I tried to replicate the short and wide appearence of the original male Gostok, while also making something noticeably different. These guys are much shorter as they are meant to parallel the Protectors, while the original were meant to parallel the Toa.

The back

With Gavamond, or a typical male Gostok of Racta Magna.

With Korgot, the Protector of Earth!

Here is a typical female Gostok of Okoto.

The back.

With Gellesyl, or a typical female Gostok of Racta Magna.

With Kivoda, the Protector of Water.

Like with the originals, each member of the species is virtually identical with the exception of the eye colour and the weapon. These two can be modded to represent two completely different Gostoks like how it's shown above.

With Raxonax. Unfortunately I scrapped the Okoto armour a long time ago. When this gets back into swing I'll explain in the story how and why he doesn't have it anymore.

My Gostok army is growing!

That's all folks!

I've got another MOC coming pretty soon, and I think you're gonna like it!

Quoting Lagrais Toa of Light and Fire I love these things! But even though you are probably aware of this I just wanted to let you know that the neck on Raxonax looks a little bit too long. Just some food for thought for all I know it might just be the aN]ngle of the shot that makes his neck look long.
Thanks, and yes, I was aware. I don't think it's that the neck is too long though, rather that the lack of bulk around it makes the neck too spindly.

Quoting Ben Veazey Really cool, but I think Raxonax needs some shoulder armor. ;D
:P Well, If you see his Okoto armour, he has some decent bulk on his shoulders: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/407067

Very impressive! I do like these models and I love how you've integrated them into the RPG! Hopefully we can revive the group... if only I would actually do a comic or something about it. Maybe I might just reboot it and then start from scratch... nah. Well maybe... IDk, but anyways these guys are awesome and thanks for entering them in the RPG!

Quoting Toa Gaim Sweet mocs! Though out of curiosity do the Gostoks hate, respect, or are neutral toward Ekimu? I am working on a G2 version of Mata Nui though I just need to add a couple of more parts to his sword and he'll be ready. ^^
It's difficult to answer as we don't know if Ekimu is the same species as the Protectors or not. If he is, then they would most definitely hate him. If he isn't, then I imagine them being indifferent to him at best. I mean, these guys don't wear masks, so it's not like they'd care about his mask making, on top of the fact that he is the unofficial leader of the Okotians. That Mata Nui thing sounds cool though. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks! Yeah hopefully. It's tricky to say, as a reboot would kind of de-validate the previous stuff, which is annoying, though it would be tricky to try and get everyone back, so I'm not sure.
