I finally have a list of Lego projects that I'd like to accomplish throughout the Summer (yeah, I usually just go build by build). This micro build is the first of them :)
This is probably the best micro ship (or build overall) that I've ever done. Really like the way that the sails turned out. I don't remember who I first got the idea from, but I used some of those white "tooth" pieces for sea-foam on the prow, makes a heap of difference.
My terrain transition is finally (yes FINALLY) a lot better. Many thanks to such good friends as soccersocks and BrickBuilder for their contribution in helping me to see things the way they really look.
Brief notes will be scattered throughout...
Tried my hand at micro pine trees. Still look like upside-down green mops, but not terribly so ;)
Dere's dat ship o' myne...
Really liked this perspective view, it actually looks like there's a horizon line.
So how'd I do? Any tips, ideas, or constructive criticism?
Brickin' for Christ, He's my sure and unfailing Lighthouse, Anchor, and Pilot amidst any and every storm of life...
Super job! the lighthouse the boat the shore the rock, they are all AWESOME! I could go on and on.. (; but the part that caught my eye was the pine trees, they are so cool! They make my micro trees look like crud. JK (;
Put it all together it looks AMAZING! God bless, Bricksnapper
Amazing. The ship looks brilliant and all those perspectives you pulled off worked nicely. The rockwork is also great. My only suggestion is to replace one piece; that dark bluish grey 4x4 quarter circle at the top of the cliff, with something smaller (eg. the 3x3 quarter circle? Or several small pieces). It just sticks out a little too much however one piece out of place is minute to me compared to the many hundreds that were in the perfect place! XD
