Part of the glorious empire of Ethiopia, the Asmera saw a lot of action in the first Alien War where it fought along side its GAIA counterparts for years.
About this creation
Marc's recent Misirlou got me all inspired to build another battleship myself.
Started this one yesterday and realised that though I was a fair way into it in two days, the ship was going to take a good long while to finish as I need to do the guns, details plus interiors. Anyway, a bit of a WIP promo :D
So good to see all your comments here. I wasn't sure if I'd overdone the theme. Maybe trying a yellow ship has added some extra wind to the sails, lol. Your wonderful comments have certainly got me trying my absolute best to make this one worth coming back. Thanks again :)
Going well, love the shape and the colour looks great.
I like it

Holy sea cow! That's impressive there Par! Love the bending and dat yellow. The arms and inverted curved pieces on the tower stand out as absolutely perfect in my eyes. Really screams Yamato with those. Outstanding!
Very impressive your work so far. I see you have perfected the hull shape and the structures already looking impressive. What I particularly like is is the way you build the deck. I am very excited about the finished ship my friend
DUDE! Seems like we're creating a line of the most epic space battleships ever! I see you're taking your hull bending skills to another level. The classic hull lines, the raised bow and all the antennae sticking out everywhere - this is definitely going to be your best. I should try that bending technique on Misirlou's bow...
Dude. Who's got the longest? I think Marc wins this one (livingroom-sized GAIA ship) but you're catching up pretty fast! Haha. Jokes aside, this is a wonderful achievement already! The yellow is a non-obvious color choice I'd really like to see worked out. I'll be looking forward to the final stage. Good luck finishing this baby.
