At last! I've finally completed this car after roughly 1.5 years of building.
About this creation
This is my 4th attempt at building the Enzo. The Enzo Ferrari my favorite car, so I really wanted to replicate it as well as possible. This is easily the most difficult creation I've ever built. My 1st and 2nd versions can be viewed here, and the 3rd version can be found here (never finished, WIP).

For this one, I decided to build it at a larger scale; 1:12.5 or 19 studs wide, because I realized I had reached the limit of accuracy at 1:16 or 16 studs wide. Since I wanted to build this as accurately as possible, it took me about 18 months to finish. Even now, there are some areas that I am not completely happy with the outcome. Perhaps the most difficult part of this car to build was the butterfly doors. It took me many months to discover a hinge solution that would be somewhat compact and yet allow the doors to open at a fairly accurate angle.

Overall I am satisfied with the result, and I'm really glad I've finally finished building it!

Thanks, Smokie!
Quoting Nils O. Wow, a real masterpiece. This is as good as Lego car building gets. The engine itself is a jewel and the interior is perfect. Great job!
Thank you, Nils.

Quoting Brick Boy Do you have any building tips for me to imrpove? Oh, and how did you do the doors?
I always start with the dimensions/blueprint of the car I'm building - that helps me get the proportions accurate. Also, be patient! It takes a long time to improve. I used Technic pieces like axles and bricks. You can see the hinge in the 3rd to last picture.

Quoting mordecai mordecai IT'S BRILLIANT! The overall shape and proportion is spot on, I absolutely love the tricky front shaping, and the opening parts are perfect! Maybe the rear diffuser and exhaust can be a biiit more perfect in the next update? fantastic build!

Thanks!
Quoting Matt Bace I should have commented on this one a while ago, but better late than never. This is just amazing! One of the best LEGO Ferraris ever. The shaping is absolutely superb, especially with all of the functionality that you included(opening doors and hatches). I really like the way the hood and the brake vents look.
Thank you so much!
Quoting Jack Sparrow Another work of art. I like how you used (presumably) a trans yellow rod to hold the steering wheel. Gives the illusion of the Ferrari logo. Small details like that are what impress me. Overall, this was 1.5 years well spent. Well done!
Thanks. It's actually a 3mm rigid tube in solid yellow.
Quoting Malte Dorowski ravishingly beautiful! fantastic size! incredibly accurate!
Thanks so much, Malte! It means a lot coming from you.
Quoting Harry Gravett Its beautiful! Being really picky, it is a slight shame that it has all those exposed studs at the front - though I know that if you could have found a solution, you would have made it smooth. Nevertheless, that does not take away the fact that this is a stunning model!
Yeah, I really wish LEGO made wedge tiles.

Quoting Nick Barrett You're right to be satisfied with it. I know I would be. It's beautiful.

Quoting Alex B Exceedingly brilliant! 18 months well spent. You're 2nd attempt at an Enzo was really great. Like SSSW I too, was struggling to see how you could top that, but you have! Moving up in scale allowed you to optimize and incorporate more detail into the design. The side profile is so prefect I don't think it could be done any better. I could go on and on, but let me cut to the chase: It's beautiful.
Thank you.
Quoting cyberfrank 2010 I will have to try a big car like that some day, I did lots as a kid, I like your technique best, mixing system and technics yields the nicest finish, the shapes are graceful, engine, interior, it rocks!
Yes, you should try building one! They're lots of fun and very satisfying to build. And of course they look fantastic as display models.

Quoting Markus Schlegel This is without any doubt the best Enzo if not the best Ferrari ever built of Lego! Very well done! Incredibly realistic shape and some fine techniques used. If that was an official set I would buy it no matter how expensive it was...
Thanks.
Quoting matt rowntRee WOW! Just plain stinkin' WOW! You have set the bar way high with this, Nathanael. I... I... I am just going to look at it some more and bathe in it's pure awesomesauciness. -Standing ovation!-
Haha thanks, Matt!
Quoting Rage Hobbit The shaping all around is very good, and this model is perhaps the best Lego Enzo Ferrari I've seen. Perhaps the only part I would change is the roof; it is slightly too square and perhaps a little too high. Still, quite excellent.
Thanks.
Quoting Greg 998 Best Lego Enzo ever!
Thank you!
Quoting Nate Andrews I second the comments below. The best LEGO Enzo I've ever seen!!!
Thank, Nate!
Quoting Josiah Nelson This looks superb! The engine is way to cool. I am really loving the usage of flex tubes as mudguards. And to quote Firas, A++. :)
Thanks, Josiah.
Quoting Firas Abu-Jaber While I'm not the biggest fan of the A pillars(windshield shaping), I absolutely love everything else on this Superb, realistic and detailed model! You definitely nailed the functional elements on this model. Stunning Ferrari. A+
Thanks, Firas. I'm not really sure what's wrong with the windshield. The real Enzo has a very curved windshield as I'm sure you know, so I put an upright wiper like the FXX to compensate.
Quoting Starscream Soundwave Just going to add that the 'cockpit' shaping is perfect, I think people are just thrown because it looks different without the windscreen physically being there. My F50 should really be the same but I opted for an inaccurate solution that had more of a rake.
Maybe that's what it is.
