About this creation

LOM: Battle of Exileseat

Rainosian forces, angered by Enalica's ownership of their old island of Exileseat, unite to regain the island...

Quick one-day build for the May UC in LOM. I'm pretty happy with how it came out, considering how rushed it is. The color scheme and overall style is sorta a test for a build that I'm planning for next month, and I like how it looks. Enjoy!

Quoting Kai Bernstein Fair enough.
By the way, the wizard hat use was stolen from my TT R5. And in 2 hours, this MOC is still probably better than that one :P

Quoting Kai Bernstein Loving the micro rocks, roof and chains. The flat roof (2x2 tiles) looks weird over the 1x2 building - makes it look like a facade. The rest is great. I love the wizard hat's usage!
Thanks. I built this one in 2 hours, too, so I'm fine with the flaws :P

Quoting Julia LeeP I'm horr*ble at microscale, so I feel like a bit of a hypocrite critiquing this, but I feel like the microfigs are a little too big. I mean, honestly, if the wall can be climbed over by one or two microfig standing on another's shoulders, the battle seems kinda pointless. Just saying, ya know? :P I do love the parts usage for the hat for the roof of one of the towers, though, and the build is actually really well-composed, despite the weird disproportion.
Thanks. This was another one-day build, so I'm not too bothered about it, but yeah, the microfigs are too big - you can tell from their size in relation to the gate. But I felt like it was worth including them anyway because the scene looked so much better as a battle scene...

You did an amazing job packing so much detail in a little creation! I didn't know you were so good at micro-scale creations, nicely done!

UHHHH How did you build this? It has sooooo much detail. How long did it take to build, a week? 100/1

Yes, this is a great speed-build. The Tourney certainly gave you some useful skills. @ Hildigrim - That looks awesome! I'm not sure what sort of pieces you have left at this point, but one way to improve it a little would be to add some texture or detail to the half-timber area. If you have any more brown planks - or even some brown minifigure accessories like rods or axes - you could add some more timbers to make that area more eyecatching. Alternatively, if you have some white and tan pieces remaining, you might be able to add some greebles to that part like you did in your stonework section (which is beautiful, by the way).

Great work! Although I feel that the figures are a bit out of proportion compared to the wall and buildings.

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus You jsut love unconnected areas, huh?
Yep :P I try to avoid them if possible, but sometimes (edges of bases, tudor section above the gate here) it's either impossible or I don't have enough pieces.

I legit thought this was huge at first glance. Anyway, mine's coming (even though I haven't started it yet).
