Part of my ever expanding Dieselpunk universe, Eroberung. : )
About this creation
The Z-66 "Flying Flapjack" was the United Kingdom's experiment with hovering aircraft. The Z-66 was looked upon as a fantasy by most investors, and was nearly forgotten when World War II rolled in. But, some of the more eccentric investors continued funding the project. Now, that it is 1947, "Flying Flapjack" craft has been completed. It is to be primarily used for commando missions and scouting. The Z-66 has an exceptionally quiet, yet powerful engine. So it is used most effectively in stealth missions.
It will be put to the ultimate test in an assassination mission on an important Deutsches Reich general.

This is for my Dieselpunk universe, Eroberung! Hope that you like my funky creation!
Also, this will be part of my Mech Hanger MOC that is coming soon! :)

How did this picture get here!?! ;) This is a teaser image for the now finished mech hanger which will be posted soon!
Hope you like my creation! Suggestions on what could be improved or removed are welcome!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Quoting Brick snapper WOW! Great build Josiah! Is the Flying flapjack a real thing?
Thanks dude! My rendition is not, but, the U.S. actually named an experimental aircraft the "Flying Flapjack" because of it's shape. :)

Quoting eric s Ahh, this is awesome! I've been wondering if you'd be able to get around to any MOCs - they're a great addition to the group and set a good example! My favorite part - that windshield. I dunno why but I love that piece lol, prolly cause I like the SW fighter it came from. Also the history behind its construction sounds intriguing!
Thank you for the awesome comment eric! I'm glad that you think that this is a good example, but there are many better builders than me! : ) I really like writing backstories for my different MOC's.

Quoting Stuart Lucas I really love the idea of this one! Very cool design and execution. I thought flapjacks were rectangular, but I'm glad this isn't!
Thank you so much Stuart! Yep, I'm glad that this isn't rectangular either, the aerodynamics would be severely messed up if it was! ;)

Quoting David Roberts A great flying saucer. I like how it's contained and supported by that ring of click hinges. Good greebling too.
Thank you David! The hinges went through much trial and error to perfect. Glad that you like my build. : )

Quoting Stephan Niehoff Coool, the flying object looks a bit as if the panels are missing. But that's why it fits into the theme. You have the round shape really hammer out good.
Thanks man! I am humbled by your very kind comment.

Quoting The Royal Brick Great work, Josiah! The ship has a very original shape (which I am sure took a long time to perfect), and you've got some top notch greebling going. I do think that the pilot should have a seat and some controls for sure.
Thank you very much my friend! I am really pleased that you like the greebles. I'll add a seat ASAP! : )

Quoting Professor B. Wicked angles. But I think it would have trouble actually staying in the air as its wings are somewhat small. :P Great build!

Quoting VAkkron ™ THAT is cool. I really like the future-modern feel of it. What do you mean by non-canon? As far as I'm concerned, it would work perfectly! I'm not sure what a practical application would be, though. :P
Thank you! I am very glad that you like it. :) I considered it non-canon because I personally thought that it didn't contribute much to the story or group. But I'll add though since it fits in quite well! :)
