G1 Transformer: Optimus Prime (V1)
Introducing G1 Optimus Prime. I was inspired by my kids, Chris Roach, Alex Wong and others on this site and decided to give it a try. He is fully transformable with no parts removed or added on. I used a combination of old school pieces and new ones from some of my kids' sets (the ones they would let me use anyway). I still need to work on his gun and the Matrix of Leadership, but let me know what you think.

Thanks Michael! You should check out my V2. I made several modifications to improve both robot and truck modes. I also recently added a Mini G1 Optimus. Let me know what you think. Thanks again!

Quoting Caleb S. Oh, my gosh! That takes some serious skill! Your children must be extremely proud of you. My dad couldn't care less about legos :P I have 3 friends (all brothers of each other) who love lego as much as I do. They would go to jail rather than give up their lego as would I. I am hoping that someday I will be able to build with Sean Kenney or with one of the Lego company builders. I also want to work for lego as a lego builder! I have alot of dreams and some don't work with others so I usually end up picking one :P and every time I do I end up building lego as an adult. I know I can't be in the NBA and work for lego at the same time. I think I would rather build for lego instead! I always thought that it's more important to do something you really love and make just enough than to do something you don't like as much and make alot. I have now realized that this comment is both off topic and very long. Ah, jeez! Ok, nice work, love the transforming part. Epic stuff dude!
Thanks Caleb! My kids love helping me with my creations (finding pieces, etc.). They are becoming pretty good little builders themselves. I wish you the best of luck with your dreams. You've got a lot of talent and will only get better as you get older.

Thanks Stuart! I almost went with detachable hands as I was struggling to figure out a way to incorporate them into the forearms. They're not the best fists but they work :)

Welcome to the world of Legoformers! This is impressively true to the original, I especially like the fact that you can fit minifigures in, and that you've incorporated the fists (which the original toy didn't). Great stuff!

Quoting haran banjo Awesome Moc! I thing you could work on shoulders articulations and General posability
Thanks Haran! That's good advice. Yeah, he's not quite as posable as I would like him to be. Maybe a few more ball joints would help. Any suggestions?

Wow! Thanks so much! That really means a lot coming from you. I am so impressed by all of your creations. Your Prime was one of my biggest inspirations (especially trying to fit the mini-figures inside).
