Well, no one ever said that the life of an adventurer was all super-duper, hunky-dory, glory and fun...
About this creation
Halloo again!
I'm back with another episode from Nolan Aeras' life. However, this time he's encountered a slight problem. After joining up with a trading company who hired him to help with the protection of a trading vessel bound across the Diamanic Sea, the ship encountered one of the very pirate ships that Nolan was hired to help protect against. Needless to say, despite his and the crew's best efforts, the ship was pillaged then destroyed and all but Nolan were captured and held by the pirates. But the pirates being pirates decided to have some fun and tossed Nolan overboard with hoots of derision. Being such a great swimmer and finding a nearby desert island to find refuge on, Nolan rested overnight and prepared for a possible escape the following day.
Enough pieces of ship debris remained and were beached on the island for him to put together a crude raft with a sail and rudder. Now for the mainland...

I'm a big fan of ocean scenes, so when I get the time to put one together I always end up having a blast. This scene was unique due to the fact that I added a palm tree with a slightly, uh... winding(?) trunk and some waves (man, I LOVE those 1x2s! :D ).

Here's a better view of the raft. Nolan's putting on the finishing touches to the sail (man, that piece shows up a lot ;) ).

Some of the tools and remaining ship debris that washed up on the beach.

View from above.

So what do you all think? Tips and comments welcome and appreciated!

God bless,

I really like the palm tree! How did you do that? I also like how you did the water with clear pieces.
