Well then. This one was fun.
About this creation
For LUGNut's latest challenge "LET'S BREAK SOME RECORDS", I decided to build a Jensen Interceptor, as it was the first ever Four Wheel Drive car. However, I kind of accidentally started a a Peel P50, and I started making progress. Looks like a 7-wide Jensen will have to wait.

This Peel P50 is in Miniland scale (I think), and is 6 studs wide at the front. The real car is the shortest production car in the world (at time of posting...but would it really be logical to go any smaller? I mean, really?), and the world's narrowest of any production car...and the shortest wheelbase and the lightest and...

A HUGE thank you to Peter Blackert, who is such a gent. He very kindly rendered these images for me, as our computer almost set fire*. Follow him on Flickr by clicking the link above.

So, the MOC. Didn't manage to get the indicators on, but I'm quite pleased with the overall result of the front.
Lego Peel P50 front

After posting a W.I.P on Flickr, a few people told me a the bonnet was too long, which is a very good point. So once changed, I also discovered the windscreen was too upright. I hate to make bricks see-through when they can't be in real life, but this can be fixed by making it black.
Lego Peel P50 side

Sadly, there was no way to get the iddy-biddy tail lights on. But that aside, I quite like the rear.

Over all view of the front. If you think I'm trying to add JDM to this by adding negative camber, jump onto Google Images and check out the front wheels. They never point the same direction at any given time.

And suddenly, wheel.

As it was made for LUGNuts, I thought it was high time I made a Lino. So I made a Peel P50.
Hmm...I'll take the taxi.

"Do you think I'm mad!? I'm not getting in there. I'm taking a taxi..."
You're kidding me, right? You really don't expect me to get in this thing?

Here is the Lino Martins in his natural habitat- alone. His legs aren't as short in real life, though.
My Lego Lino

This was a load of fun to make! Don't forget to tell me if I can improve so I can become better then all you peeps and claim the weeping world as my own.
15PVC results coming soon!

*possibly exaggerated. A little.

Quoting Johan van der Pluijm I love it! What about a very famous TopGear inspired diorama? Something with an office, elevator and things going wrong..And the Peel P50 of course. Just google it and laugh the following 10 minutes :-)
That was one of their best sketches. :D Thanks!

Quoting andros tempest Sam, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding in the help group. Re-reading the whole conversation I can clearly see I misinterpreted your last comment. I realised my mistake immediately and removed my comment to avoid causing offence without knowing you had already read it. I do appreciate the support you have given that group and I apologise for any problems caused. The error was entirely mine. I just wanted to let you know the only reason the comment was removed was because I knew it should not be there, no other reason. Feel free to delete this comment once you have read it.
Hi andros! No worries - I wasn't angry or anything, just a little confused. :D I wouldn't say entirely your fault - it was, of coarse, off topic - so, I don't mind. thanks for being so kind and understanding of me coming out and asking about something you've deleted already - thinking about it, it was a little rude. thanks again, Sam.

Quoting Alexander Paschoaletto A question I always wanted to ask: why a Ford Ka for your buddy icon? hahaha
Haha! I was looking at things with Gulf colours and a cool drawing of a Ka came up, and I downloaded it. When I signed up, I didn't have much of a choice of photos I downloaded and this one was the best. And it kinda stuck!

Quoting Alexander Paschoaletto I've visited this page so many times and only now I noticed I forgot to comment - sorry mate. I really liked this, it's so cute and amazing, and must be a true challenge even for Richard Hammond to fit in! Congrats man, this could easily be one of those Shell Lego sets, like those last ferraris! :)
No worries! Thanks Alex, you're words mean a lot. I'm hoping to build this in real one day, and maybe sneak it into Legoland's miniland, and see if anyone notices! :P

Cheers! That's Lino Martins - you should definitely check out his photostream.
Quoting Yann (XY EZ) Haha great work! Looks like the real one! You nailed the shaping and the pictures are great. Well done & good luck!
Why thank you! Yes, Peter Blackert very kindly did the renders for me. No need to wish me luck - it's not a contest. It's just a challenge, and all entries get put into the LUGNuts bolg.
Quoting Pico van Grootveld Cute :)
Very. :D
Quoting gene 3S Your's more stable with tiny bit of stance! Cool!
Haha! The camber's all over the shot on the real cars! Thanks Gene.
Quoting Firas Abu-Jaber That's pretty awesome! I specially like the way you did the glass in this one, in particular the windscreen, very well done.
Thanks a lot Firas! (Yus, first comment from The lord himself =p). It took a bit of head scratching, but it turned out okay in the end.
Quoting eric s cool! I like how the front turned out too. a license plate would probably weigh this thing down!
An average number plate is probably bigger than the thing itself! =p Thanks a lot Eric!
Quoting Kevin Michaels Nice little thing. This car reminds me of Top Gear.
Thanks Kevin. That was one of their funniest drives!
Quoting Damon Corso Absolutely beautiful Sam! Well done! And thanks again for an amazing competiton last month! So excited for the results!

Quoting Henrik Jensen Cute micro-car! A Peel is probably one of the most amputated cars ever built! No engine, no convinience, no space, but great personality. I love that little thing.
