Yay, a truck. Because 'Murrica.
About this creation
Finally, a real-life MOC!! I finally found a way around my uploading problem: getting HTML code from Flickr photos.

This model was originally supposed to be a '55 Ford F100, but the grille was nearly impossible with the scale and the front fenders were too annoying. So I made this guy.

I kinda wish the gap wasn't there...oh well...

Do you guys think the bumper would look better in red?

Pretty happy with the overall profile.

Pretty boring. Nothing to see here.

This is also lame.

That floating effect was unintentional. My love of details shows here, with the curving out of the cab into the fenders. I couldn't settle on anything else :P

The whole enchilada, without the hood/flatbed to show you the construction.

This doesn't actually look to bad without the flatbed...just raw :P

These are both pretty straightforward, the flatbed is like 5 pieces and the hood is all SNOT.

Again, nothing much to see here.

The grille is really simple. But effective, I think...;D

And finally, the "interior." Not much of an interior; it has no seats and only a steering wheel and floor shifter :P

So that's it for this model, hope you liked my first real-life model, hope to make some more soon!! :D

Also, if you really want to, feel free to check out my Flickr...https://www.flickr.com/photos/131475675@N08/

And if you know how to get a main pic on without using the uploader (which I can't do) PLEASE TELL ME!!!

Thanks!

EDIT: Wow, one of my first creations to get on the homepage (tied with my Chinook), thanks a lot guys!! :D

Quoting Dr. Petrolhead Not kidding, this just got featured in a CarThrottle video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_0Bmxf9wJM, and skip to 1:48 ;)
Just saw your comment now XD I was made aware of that...that's actually hilarious :P I do wonder whether it's in the video for a good or bad reason XD

Quoting Scott Bertaut For the Nifty Fifty I just tried to make the most awesome 50's stile pickup truck I could, it is not surprising that the front of yours came out similar. You had probably never even seen mine, but it is like they say, great minds think alike!
Yeah, I was just trying to make it look classic, using the old pickups of the 50s too :D

Quoting Scott Bertaut A great looking truck, I like the front especially. You ask if the bumper would look better in red, that is how the rear bumper is and to be honest I think that would look better if it was grey too. It is really only the front, but this reminds me of my own puck-up, The Nifty Fifty quite a bit.
Thanks for the praise Scott!! Now that I think of it, it does (unintentionally) resemble the Nifty Fifty :D

Quoting Henrik Jensen Very nice Classic Truck! Great job on the shaping, and the colors are lovely. I think you could get rid of the gap using 2 inverted bracket plates (partno. 99780) or (partno. 87609) replacing the brick with studs on the side.
Thanks! Yeah, I was experimenting with that setup...I'll probably implement it someday :D
