1987 Ford Mustang LX Notchback Drag Car
Outlaw drag car based on 1987 Mustang LX Notchback. These cars are desireable as drag cars because of their low cost to purchase and maintain, wide availability of parts, light weight, and ease of modification. This example features a stripped interior with roll cage, extra instrumentation including dashtop mounted tach with shift light, CD ignition module on the dash, fire extinguisher, and nitrous bottle, a high output V8 engine with long tube headers with side exit exhaust and a high rise intake with dual carburetors, fuel cell in the trunk with high flow fuel pump and relocated dry cell battery, Harwood hood scoop, oversized drag slicks on the rear, airfoil, parachute, and wheelie bars.

Quoting Scott Bourgeois Nice details. Is that a Nitrous Oxide system in the trunk / boot?
The NOS bottle is on the passenger side floorboard where the seat used to be. The black box in the the trunk is the fuel cell. The red round element is the safety cap, and the two silver lines out the driver side are the feed and return fuel lines. The blue cylinder on the one line is the inline high flow fuel pump. Next to the fuel cell is an Optima dry cell battery.
