Infernum, Halhi, Brick, and Kai Bernstein all gave helpful suggestions for this build. This is my largest building yet (not counting castles).
The roofs were quite difficult, but I'm very pleased with how the build turned out.
The Green Goblet has always been a popular inn in Guaire, but with the Tourney just around the corner, the inn is generally packed out.
Rego meets with Dedan to discuss a base for the Average Gnomlles during the Tournament.
"With the amount of backstabbing that goes on during the tournament, you need a secure stronghold if you want to last long," Rego stated as he munched on a drumstick. "I've found the perfect building, we can move our supplies and weapons into over the next few days. Then we'll be all set for the tourney."
"Sound great!" Dedan replied, "Let's go get some more food to celebrate. Where are the others at?"
"Making more preparations, scouting out the grounds and city," Rego answered."
I WAS going to do my best to give hints and criticisms on every Round 1 build during my judging process, but your style is both very, very good and not much like anything that I've tried so far. It's not often that someone pulls off an interior and exterior without sacrificing either, let alone with such beautiful woodwork. The roofs are also eye-catchers, especially with that new corner technique and the row of windows right underneath, although /maybe/ the ridges could be brought out a little. Even the stonework looks excellent, although I can imagine Halhi criticizing its abundance of tiles. Overall, this is probably my favorite MOC from you and I'm blown away that you could build it in only a week. If you keep this up through the whole Tourney, I can't imagine that there will be a lot of opposition.
Yikes. Good thing I'm not in your bracket. What a build! The exterior is gorgeous! The roof is quite good. Love all the detailing. And then you surprised me with an interior! Beautiful work! Best of luck!
Man, that roof sure is eye candy! For some reason this reminds me of an inn from Skryim. I was pleasntly surprised to find that you even had an interior. It seems as though many great builders focus so much on detailed exteriors yet don't even include interiors, which is always dissapointing. Great job, it turned out splendid!
This is one of those beautifully built MOCs that then inspires builders (like me) to hopefully be as good as you are one day. Really, this is just a phenomenally constructed work of art. The colors go beautifully together, and there is so much life and action going on here. The roof is epic too, and I really like how you livened up the ground and foundation of the building. Outstanding, to say the least. 5/5! :-)
