UCS AT-TE
Hi fellow builders. Today I present you my UCS AT-TE walker as seen in Episode II and the Clone wars Cartoon Series. This particular one was designed by fellow builder Reto Geiger. He's put the instructions on his brickshelf page if you want to build this thing yourself. I only made some modifications to make it more stable since the legs sometimes collapse under the weight if this thing. It's constructed from about 3700-3800 bricks so it ain't on the small side either :) Anyway I just wanted to post this because I just love the design and scale of this thing. But again all credit to the briliant mind of Reto! Allright lets take a closer look at this thing shall we:
About this creation
As some of you might have seen, I actually posted a pic a month ago when I posted W.I.P 3 of my Venator build. I started building this months ago but I finished it just a few weeks ago. Here are some pictures of the build:

It was already in this state when I continued the build. I just had to finish of the centersection and build the legs and the reinforcements for those:

To give an idea what the scale is against a minifig:

Look mommy, without supports ;)

Finished!!

Some details of the legs. Those AT-AT printed dishes were actually the most expensive parts of the build, but they really look so good on this.

This is a display I made to show it of in my Legotorium/Star Wars room

And there you go. It really takes a bit of room to display this thing, fortunally I had some room left on top of my Lego cabinets. A fellow builder Mihe Stonee made the custom UCS sticker for me. He really did a great job with it. I was really stunned when I first saw it and I'm still grateful that he wanted to do this for me in between his stunning builds. If you haven't saw his builds than I really suggest you do so ASAP!!

The sticker in detail (sorry for the low quality pics, some were taken with my still s**t cellphone)

And that's it. It's a really nice addition to my custom UCS set collection. For those who want to build this thing, visit Reto Geigers Brickshelf page right here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=rgeiger

In the instructions is mentioned that you can choose any color for the yellow bricks because they are not visible... Well they still are a bit, so I would suggest to go for dark grey or black. The hull itself was also a test of nerves, since some came loose everytime you (barely) touched them. But all together it was a very fun build and it still puts a smile on my face everytime I walk into my SW room. Well I guess it's time to continue my Venator... Hope to post some progress of that very soon! Later y'all!!

Thanks for the comment ;) Yes, it cost a lot... UCS set money really. The legs are able to move a little bit but not al lot since they're attached in different ways to keep the walker from collapsing. One thing I did was take out some of the yellow bricks in the center, that way it's already a lot lighter. Show some pictures of your progress once you start building this ;)
Quoting War boy Amazing build. Thanks for sharing! I got all the pieces I need from 3 stores ready to buy at Bricklink. Cost over 300 to build this though :(. Could you let us see what modifications you made on the legs to keep the AT-TE from collapsing? This might be the deal-breaker. Also can you move the legs at all? I know these UCS builds are for display only, the set must be pretty darn heavy too, but I'd to know if I can pose it a little.
