About this creation

So, let's start with The Phantom! From the Star Wars Rebels line.
I bought this set before I started watching the show so had no preconception about what it was meant to be or anything like that.
Here is the box, instructions and the set itself.

Now, here's the set itself. Fairly small but nice and sturdy.

The rear and also showing how the side 'wings' fold up and down.

The back flap opens up so Ezra can store a gun and his helmet inside.

Chopper gets his own little hole too.

The open cockpit.

Ezra and Chopper.

And from the back showing Ezra's alt' face.

The set also includes a piece I haven't seen before! A reverse tile! Studs on top with a flat bottom! Very handy piece. I hope more sets start getting this.

Playability Factor:9/10
Value For Money:7/10

It's a nice, well built, little set. I think it's a bit overpriced, it could do with a Stormie or something to make it worth the RRP, but overall it's a decent one.

Now, switching themes to "Guardians Of The Galaxy"...
Here we have the "StarBlaster Showdown" set. Again, I've not actually seen the film yet so I have no idea what this set is about.
But here we have the set, the box, the instructions and the pathetic 'comic'.

Here is the Nova Corps ship. Nicely designed. Sturdy. Better than I thought it would be.

The open cockpit. The cockpit feels a little sparse.

The rear of the ship. Again, that back end could use some work. (Insert your own joke here.)
The big circular light bley plate just seems too blank. The fins are very nice though.

The underside of the ship with two flick-fires.

Onto the other ship. Um... it's tiny. It's not a ship, it's a tablescrap.

Not sure when rocks became aerodynamic.

The wings move and the cockpit opens. That's about all this has going for it.

A close up of the two new guns featured in the GotG line. I must say that I LOVE them both. They're great.

The three figures. I must say I think LEGO did a great job with Star Lord. He looks great. I really like his helmet and the way it shows his hair.

The Nova Corps Troop and Star Lord without their helmets on.

And the backs of all three.

Playability Factor:9/10
Value For Money:8/10

I really like it. There are a few flaws such as the tablescrap ship and the rear of the Nova Corps one, but the figures make up for that. Overall it's a really nice set that you can do a lot of playing with.

Funny, I just bought both of these sets recently but haven't opened either. The GotG set looks like a good source for Insurgency minis...with the 3 included you make a character for each faction with little trouble!

The first one looks like somebody took a Y-wing bomber, chopped the cockpit off, put an engine on it, and called it a set.
