Meeting by the Inn
The future GnomIIes meet under the shadow of an inn...
About this creation
"Well, maybe if someone had actually bothered to make sure she knew we were meeting at this time, she'd be here by now," Rego commented angrily

It was a cloudy evening in Rainos. Elisa had invited three men - Rego, Destrian, and Kindle - to a meeting by a small inn in a forest by Hadran, yet she was nowhere to be seen.

"Look, none of us even knew Elisa before Halbert's friend started going on about how good of a fighter she is. I had assumed that she would be here, considering that she was the one who planned the meeting." Destrian, too was frustrated - the men had barely been together for five minutes and they were already in a heated argument.

"I don't see why you expected her to be reliable. You can't trust Rainosians. It's the basic rule of life." Kindle, the Mythronian, was spouting Mythronian propaganda as usual - senselessly, too, as he was talking to a Rainosian.

Destrian, sensing a violent argument about to ensue, stopped the two before they could go to blows. "Look, she probably got held up somewhere. Let's give her a few minutes; it's not like we've been waiting very long. Maybe she's trying to figure out strategies - which is what we should be doing."

Rego nodded. "Last year, I came so close to winning. I lost at the joust. I've gotten a lot of practice fighting since then, though - I'm sure I can do better this year."

Kindle took the opportunity to go on a long-winded tangent about how to best kill an enemy. His use of the word "Rainosian" to mean "enemy" irritated Rego, but Rego tried to ignore it; they needed to be calm and work together if they wanted to have success as a team.

As Kindle began to explain how he beheaded a Black Lotus member in some battle, the door of the nearby inn opened and Elisa walked out.

"Oh good, you've stopped arguing. I was going to come out on time, but I didn't want to interrupt your argument - I'm sure that it was very important. Anyway, it's time for us to get something done - let's go to the blacksmith's and get some new weapons so that we can practice.

"Also, I just found out - we need five people on our team, not just four. We'll need to find someone soon."

The four walked away.

Looks like someone was watching...

Full build! Pretty cool right?

Rocks!! :P

Inn detail (this is the only part I'm not satisfied with)

The path through the rocks is one of my favorite parts. Combined with the big panel on the left, it's one of my favorite parts. :)

Tree.

Love the panel rockwork!

Infy's Comments:

Pretty happy with this! The landscape, especially the rocks, is really well done IMO! Not too happy with the front of the inn though, not sure what's off about it though (probably just because that's the blandest part of the build). Anyway, hope you like it! Wish me luck against Kai and Stephen (good luck guys!)! :)

ironically I find the inn probably the best part of the build. Although I have to admit the landscape is freaking amazing!

Phenomenal rockwork dude! I'm partial towards the curved slope piece, though, too smooth. The inn's got a lot of nice angles and texture, though. Great work!

Quoting Mark McPeek The angles on the rocks - and the landscaping as a whole - is mighty impressive! I really like the positioning of the "spy" as well!
Thanks Mark! Yeah, I thought he was a cool detail. ;)
Quoting Freeling ++ I was wondering "Who in the world is this boss builder who joined LOM?" Then I looked at the name and was like. Pssh It's just Infernum.

Quoting Caleb Walker Amazing build! Love the rocks, and the trees!
Thanks Caleb!
Quoting --R.K. Blast-- Lovely work. The rockwork around the path is brilliant! --Blast--
Thanks!
Quoting ~ Brick Well the build is excellent in many regards, there are a few issues. The door looks extremely weird, the rocks awkwardly cut off, and I can see the edge of a pink piece coming out of the rocks! :P Still, wonderful work here!
Yeah, the door was literally the last thing I made. The edge thing is just a time issue, I should took the time to fill it in, but I didn't think it's be so visible in the pics. Thanks bud! :)

Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Yeah, the trunk of that tree is awesome, it's just the leaves I didn't like :) I think the saucer piece could be really good, but with the jagged edge and the stud-holes sticking out sideways, it just doesn't seem realistic. @Halhi: Hey, I had to make sure Timothy wasn't lying! :P
Yeah, wish I had more leaves. I see where you're coming from with the saucer piece, I wish wedges didn't have those holes.
Quoting Ian Spacek Lots of splendid angles.
Thanks so much Ian!
Quoting Graham Gidman Very unique! Love those rocks! :)
Thanks Graham! :)
Quoting Benaiah N. Great job! Love those rocks!

Quoting Ian ... Great Build! I agree with Sir Kindle on every point. Be on the look out for my new book coming out soon, 101 Ways to kill a Rainosion. :P
Cool. I'll use it so I know all Mythronian strategies. Just like Mythron to make its fighting techniques and strategies public knowledge. ;)

Quoting Mr. Cab Awesome! The fact that the base Is not even throughout sort of annoys me, but the superb rockwork more than makes up for it. The inn is very well done, too.
You mean on the edge? Like underneath? I guess I should put some stuff there. Thanks!
Quoting Halhi 141 Black Widow? You mean Elisa? :P I don't know how you'd have any preconceived idea of how she'd look considering that I've never shown her outside of a post in the GnomIIes group :P I do agree that her face is a bit weird/too angry, though. And no, don't worry, Kai isn't dropping out
Ooh, something sketchy going on here. :P
Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Qoow*, that's an impressive build. I'll give my impressions as I read through. Sir Kindle is hilarious. He's like the perfect sigfig for the Mythronian faction leader. I'm not really feeling Black Widow's face here, especially not compared with Halhi's version. Don't tell me Kai is dropping out! That flying saucer in the rockwork honestly looks really weird. It needs more around it, at least, so you can't see the jagged edge. Ditto on the inn's gables, the texture is too different from the rest of the roof. I like the waterwheel piece there. The tree needs to be spread out a lot more. It looks squished to me :P The panel rockwork in front of the inn looks terrific, especially those dk green vines. Overall, though, I think the good sections are big enough to valence out the not-so-good ones :) *Wow
Thanks! Uh, that's Padme's face, I don't own a Black Widow fig. :P. It was just the first face I saw. Hm, personally I think the big slope/"saucer" there is one of the best parts, but I guess to each his own. Yeah, the tree could be better. The trunk looks great though IMO, it's just the leaves that could be better. Thanks! ;)

Quoting Benjamin Corey Nice!
Thanks!
Quoting Julia LeeP Beautiful build, Infernum! I really love that path winding through the path, the panel rockwork, and the large slope part usage on the house. The brown pieces on the stonework look kinda out of place, though, and the shaping of the leaves on the tree make it look like it's incomplete, but really, other than those two notes, and the fact that the door looks unusable, you did a wonderful job on this build IMO.
Thanks! The brown things were meant to be supports, but now I realize that having them so close to the edges of the stonework makes it look a little off. Yeah, the tree was tough, since those are all of the dark red foliage pieces I have. Thanks!
Quoting Graeme Straughn Heck-of-an-amazing build here! Nice rocks, trees, grass/vines, inn, and all around texturing anddddd that's about it. :P I'm really inspired to get out there and start building. XD
