Hey there, folks! Due to a small parts boost from my generous friend, I have recently updated many of my MOCs. As such, over the course of the next week or two, I will be releasing MOC Updates.
Here he is again, my self-MOC Ghar, Toa of Earth. I managed to add many upgrades to him, and I will point out that this is still Ghar V2, but I will refer to him as Ghar V2.5.
Enjoy my self-MOC once again, and look forward to new MOC Updates coming soon!
Here he is, Ghar in a full body shot!
Update 1: The back of the feet have been filled in with a black Metru chest piece and a 1x2 system brick inside.
Update 3: Minor gap fixes in the legs above (Text wasn't working for some reason). The fix is only on one side because I ran out of plates and the armor needs to be pushed in a little on the other side to fit.
The blue pin that he used to hold his crossbow is now a black one (my only black pin). Also, I've added a little minifig loudhailer as a little accessory on his wrist. Also, all red axels are now black.
Update 4: Studs for minor gap fixes on the waist.
Update 5: Ammunition belt is now black.
Update 6: This is probably the biggest fix, the replacement of the support system with friction adders. I did my best to add some Technic pieces to cover them up.
Update 7: A couple more fixes here. I liked how the support system gave him bigger shoulders, so I tried to emulate that with the black Bohrok eyes on his shoulders. Unfortunately, there are some gaps under those pieces there. Next, a small fix of adding a bushing on his neck to hide the axel. Finally, minifig arms on his head. I don't know why.
The idea was to add some black to the head and some thickness, but it was also to make the Pakari actually look like it is a mask connecting to his head via a "string", as seen here.
Here it is adding thickness to the head. It also looks like they connect to his brain (don't know why, but it looks cool) and they also fill in the slight gap between his eye holes in his mask and his head, making his head darker under the mask.
Enjoy some body action shots!
With his crossbow.
The friction adders actually work better holding up his arms, and allow for more free articulation.
The crossbow now has a silver piece instead of a black one, and a little neon green piece for energy details.
Quoting Hawkflight _(Steven):
Lighting's a bit of an issue, some parts of him look brown, but otherwise this is pretty good. Silver and purple seem a bit scattered though.
Mm, yea, I took the photos in another room with a very bad lamp. Ignore those parts, I did my best to get rid of them with editing. And I guess I could try to get an even amount of the colors next time. Thanks for your comment!
