Quoting Metalbeard 42 To me, the GeeBee has always been a pop-cultural icon. I'm in love with this plane since I first looked at the original ROCKETEER comic oh so many years ago. Then there was the movie that really did justice to the comic and now there's your creation doing justice to both comic and movie.
Thanks, glad to see another Rocketeer fan digging this project.

Quoting Henrik Jensen Great Gee Bee Model! I like the color scheme and the way you made the landing gear. the bold fuselage shape is also nicely reproduced. Great Work!

Quoting David Roberts Sorry, I went to my collection and had a look at the Technic pins that you've used for the propeller. I didn't realise that they had friction bits: I thought that they were smooth. It's an excellent way to make propellers. Nice one!
Thanks! No worries, I couldn't remember if there were friction pins or not. I just knew the blades stayed put.

Thanks! Yeah, the colors of this plane help make it so iconic.

Quoting Jerry Temple Wow! I really like the wheel design!
I was quite pleased with those when this started to come together. Those wheel fairings and Jon Hall's inspiration kept me motivated on this long project.

Quoting David Roberts A super looking model of this classic air racer. Have you built it in real bricks at all? The way that you've built the the prop looks good but is there enough friction from that Technic peg to maintain the pitch of the blades?
Yes, I did build this in real life to test stability and functionality. Surprisingly, the propeller blades do have enough friction to stay put. The blades do not just spin around on their own if you spin the whole propeller. They stay put quite nicely.

Quoting Mariner 1000 Excellent job! I would support if I had an account.
Thanks! It's free to create an account. You should set one up. There is a lot of cool stuff that you could have a say in being produced if you did.
