The Lone Survivor: Michael Murphy's Last Stand
A MOC made as a memorial to LT Michael Murphy and the rest of the troops that lost their lives on June 28, 2005 during Operation Red Wings. I do not intend to offend anyone with this MOC.
About this creation

Michael "Murph" Murphy makes a run for a small crook on the top of a mountain while sustaining heavy Taliban fire. He is hit in the shoulder and leg.

He fumbles for the satellite phone. The only reason he went out in the open was to get a signal to make a call back to J-Bad Air Force base requesting immediate evac. The signal is very scratchy, and he talks to Shane Patton, a new recruit into the Navy Seals. The phone is handed over to Lieutenant Michael McGreevy.
Not long after, a group of sixteen soldiers, eight Navy Seals and eight Spec Ops Aviation Regiment board a helicopter and head towards the location. They can't get the extremely important Apache support, but head in anyways, determined to save their brothers. A 12-year old Taliban fires an RPG into the helicopter just as the team was about to jump down and save their brothers. All sixteen of those brave men were killed in the resulting crash.

Very interesting! I can't say much for the MOC though the fig is great! I've never read the book or watched the movie so I wouldn't know how accurate it is.

Quoting The Airman This is very amazing. Back when I read this book I wept as I read this part and in his act of selflessness, I felt a great sense of pride for our military (the SEALs especially). I had always wanted to become one and when I read "the Lone Survivor", That only fueled the fire. As of today I am working hard to get physically ready for this aspiration. Again this is a great build. God bless and " never quit", The Airman
I felt the same way reading that part. Not as much watching the movie, because he isn't screaming Marcus' name. That's what got to me. I wish you luck in becoming a seal and hope you can pass the BUD/s eventually!
