I introduce Jraon, Toa of Electricity and my new self-moc. He's not replacing Tarshduk, but coexists with him.
About this creation
Alignment: Toa, Order of Mata Nui, CoT
Titles: Toa, Electron, Bolt Brain
Mask: Noble Kanohi Rua
Weapons: Energized Blade, Electric Tomahawk (x2), Lightning Blade, Lightning Knife, XM8
Story: Jraon spent much of his youth in the Archives under Onu-Metru, studying and working in the field of electronics. Despite inventing many useful things and knowing a great deal of knowledge, Jraon was never very popular with others, but he had a few friends. However, this was fine for him because he preferred to work alone. He spent many years perfecting his skills and increasing his knowledge. Eventually, other Matoran went to him for scientific and mathematical answers. In his free time when he was not inventing and learning, Jraon enjoyed playing a variety of instruments and playing sports.
One day, somebody contacted Jraon, hoping to request his services to supply and maintain power for a nearby settlement. Jraon accepted the offer and set to work constructing generators to power and robots to maintain the generators. After completing the order, Jraon received a hefty sum of money as well as a glowing stone. The Matoran said it was his prized possession, but a vision from the Great Spirit told him to give it to Jraon. Jraon returned to his daily life, but wondered why the Great Spirit would tell the Matoran to give a stone to him.
That question was answered one day when he was awoken during the night by a bright light and a trembling from his workstation. Jraon located the source of the commotion, which ended up being the stone give to him by the Matoran. He picked it up, like he had many times in the past. This time was different; he felt energy flow into his body, knocking him unconscious. While he was unconscious, he had a vision of the Great Spirit. It told him why he was selected and gave him the task of traveling to Daxia to meet with the Order of Mata Nui. He was accepted into their ranks and then returned to Metru Nui, given the task of spying on Turaga Dume. He was surprised by the request but accepted his mission.
He created drones with cameras for recording Dume’s actions; these were then sent to Daxia. He was one of the first to know of Teridax’s takeover, but he wasn’t able to tell the Toa Metru due to complications. He did help in combatting the Morbuzakh, controlling the archives, and assisting the Toa Metru behind the scenes; he was given orders by the Order of Mata Nui to not make direct contact with Vakama’s team. After Teridax was banished, Jraon was told to remain in Metru Nui to watch for another attack.
He watched in horror as the Visorak swarmed into Metru Nui and set to work battling the creatures. He located their base of operation and fought against Roodaka and Sidorak, but was defeated. He escaped with the help of other agents but was forced into hiding. He worked with these agents to assist the Toa Hordika in secret. After this threat was ended, Jraon returned to Daxia, where he set to work learning and creating new things for the Order to use. He was later sent with a group of OoMN agents to Destral.
After years of service with the Order, he was sent back to Metru Nui to look over activities there. He created a shop for inventing things and tutoring Matoran. This saved him when Teridax destroyed Daxia. However, he was captured within the Makuta robot during Teridax’s takeover.
He was freed by Desic and immediately, he set to work damaging the robot’s circuits with his electric powers. His efforts disrupted some of the robot’s systems but did not cause enough damage. He eventually teamed with other Toa to work together against the robot and freeing others. After the Battle, he worked to create power for the new villages. He also regrouped with the remaining OoMN members. He was given the task of seeking out the remaining Makuta and Dark Hunters’ bases.
Eventually, he joined the Council of Toa as an inventor and strategist. He worked independently on multiple missions and gathered information on the Council for the Order of Mata Nui. He also used the Order’s information on targets to benefit himself on missions. He became a valuable asset to both organizations as he rose through the Council’s ranks.
My primary self-mocs.
Jaetaro’s Notes: So here’s my new self-moc. This is not replacing Tarshduk, but coexists with him. Jraon is meant to represent me and my interests in the present. Tarshduk represents what I strive to be. This concept was kind of sparked by Shadowgear6335’s new self-moc, Minion , plus I was starting to reconsider Tarshduk as my self-moc. I think that Jraon is a much better representation of me than Tarshduk.
The build was once again insprired by Shadowgear’s Minion, especially the upper arms. The rest is my design, and reused designs from mocs like Desic and Hira. I went with a more simplistic look than my other mocs, possibly due to my shortage of some parts. I enjoyed the moc’s outcome, especially the chest.
Jraon’s likes and personality are heavily based on my own because he is my self-moc. I enjoy mathematics and science and electronics. I dream of becoming an electrical or mechanical engineer. I am also independent and have a group of friends that I hang out with. I am only “popular” in my grade due to my grades. I also enjoy playing the clarinet and saxophone and sports in my free time. I felt Jraon’s element of electricity would work well because of my interests in pretty much everything electronic, especially things like video games and robots. His name uses all the letters of my first name rearranged except for the “d.”
I hope you guys like my new self-moc. Please help me get this as popular as it can. Let me know what you think about this build, my decision, and other stuff. CRITIQUE! :D
Thanks for viewing!
*edit: Pictures have been updated to show Jraon's additions.
Wow, this is honestly a really nice build, great job man. Also, I didn't know how much we had in common! Jamus' purposes much reflect your ideas as Tarshdul does you, and I've been thinking of a new Self-MOC as well. Continued, though I have very similar interests, though I plan on becoming a Programmer and Software Designer. Nice to have learned some neat new stuff and ideas! :D
Great backstory, and a cool looking model! I think he would look better if you could include some more trans-blue parts on him, even if it's just a few studs here and there, given the relative rarity of his mask's colour. Some extra electrical weapons and drones and things would be good too.
