thank you very much for your kind words :)
the first version of the base was builded 6 months.
The lava was an "addition" made between displays. It was made in about 16 hours.
this is the MOC that just keeps on giving. The opening picture was sufficient to warrant the "WOW! Amazing" response, but with each picture, you unfolded more of the total scene which is a perfect example of copious amounts of quantity and unparalleled quality, both in your architectural style and the evidence of your very artistic eye. Speaking of architectural style, I like the visual created by how the blue building seems to ebb and flow, melt, undulate,... in and out of the rockwork. This is classic space on a whole nutha' level!!! I'm favoriting you now, and I hope building this wasn't a one-shot deal for you because I would like to see more of this.
So the question is, and please do answer, HOW LONG DID IT TAKE???
I don't even know what to say! First of all, I'd like to point out how much I admire the contrast between the warm colors of the lava and the blue of the structures! An astonishing piece of art! Keep On Brickin'!
Wow. Just wanna say...wow. And...wow. This is fantastic. One of my favorite CS MOCs to date. The base is very well built. Some nicely understated greebling. What really steals the show here is the environment. The rock work is masterful, but the work that you put in with the warm colors in the lava is amazing. Amazing is an overused word and would be better utilized if it were reserved for MOCs like this. Superb work. In conclusion...wow.
WHOA, so cool, so HUGE, SO...AWESOME. I would be scared to touch that lava. Even without the little awesome spacecraft thingy I would have known what the landing pad was. the way you made it look like it was all built into the rock is astounding. the lave flowing out of the mountain is cool too...the whole flowing sensation in general is fabulous.
wow! stunning! the choice of land being lava underground is brilliant! the color scheme is superb, you have achieved the scale I was looking for, the figs look tiny in the scene, + you added beautiful lighting to add atmosphere and realism, very cool techniques all around, top notch CS scene!!!
