ARC Gunship
Hi everybody, me again with a new MOC. My first encounter with the Clone Wars series was back in 2003 when the original cartoon series aired. I loved it straight away, but when the newer series came out, it became a love/hate relationship, due to some really lame storylines. What kept loving though were the ships and other vehicles that appeared in both series, they were so badass! My favourite one is the ARC gunhip from the cartoon series. Yes, it has been done numerous times here on the pages, but I really wanted one for myself. No added weapons or other details that it doesn't need, just a model that looks similar like the one on TV. Build time was just a few hours in total. I've made this while waiting for parts for my Venator (you have to keep building right) Anyway I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do! Greets!
About this creation
A complete view of this badass gunship. I'm really glad with the way this turned out.
I started out with he instructions of set number 7676, but I made a lot of modifications.
I own this set and when you pick it up with just one hand the bottom section comes loose everytime. With the modifications on this one however, this is no longer the case so swooshing this around the room isn't a problem at all =)

Frontview: Since Lego didn't make all parts of the guns in regular red, some parts were custom painted. Not really the thing I like to, but this time I really didn't have a choice. Otherwise it would be a mixture of dark red en regular red and it didn't look good at all.

Sideview of the front: I love these decals, they really look amazing.

Close up of the wings: These decals were made by myself. As you can see I used the cockpits of the TRI fighter, but they look not to bad. I also added the bottom cockpits to make it more realistic than the Legoset.

Topview: Here you can see the rocketlauncher. I din't use flick missiles on this. Some parts of the engines were also painted since some parts didn't came out in regular blue.
Other than some parts of the guns in the front of the ship, no parts were painted.

Look of the inside: I build a flat floor so I could fit more clones inside. Also the doors are one large piece (like in the cartoon) instead of two parts

Captain Fordo and his men, ready for action. Since I personally don't like to "modifie" clones, I just changed the arms. There are some nice custom ones made, but mostly they look stupid. Sometimes I don't get why you would ruin a nice minifigure, but hey that's personal taste.

The medical bay: You can put Master Shaak Ti in there and also Aayla Secura (a minifig that do not own)

And that's a wrap. I hope you enjoyed it. When the parts for my Venator arrive soon, I will upload part 2 of that build. I can tell you that I've made good progress since the last update, but more on that later. Thanks for visiting!

Nice Arc ship, very simple mods and with lots of detail! Are the stickers custom or did you get them from someone else? and where did you get ball sockets in red?
