A Victorian home with an exterior designed with the inspiration of Charles Eastlake.
About this creation

I designed this Victorian with an exterior that is more reminiscent of the Eastlake style of architecture, more intricate window borders, knobs, lattice and highly decorative roof lines. I chose dark orange for the body of the house, tan and white for the secondary colors. I like the way the roof turned out being that I was stumped for a day deciding whether or not to come out one or two studs from the walls with the eve's. If any viewers have a Victorian house they would like to see built please type in a link to a photo in their comments, I'm running thin on ideas to continue this line.

Very clean job with this complex and detailed MOC. So much inspiration to be found down to the SW 2x2 round tile used for the cooktop on the vintage stove, that was pretty clever.

Quoting Mick Truitt Very nice! I am fairly new to this but trying to build a house with a complicated roof line. What pieces did you use where the roof of the gabled windows meet the rest of the roof to get a nice smooth line?
those pieces are "slope 45, 2x1, double, inverted.. Element # 3049b on bricklink, there are four variations of that element that produce the same result.

I've been looking at all of your victorian home builds over the past couple of days, and I think they are amazing. I don't know if you still have any of these builds or would be willing to make another, but I would be willing to buy one. My email is brickbibrickflms@gmail.com if you are interested.

Quoting Susan More This is truly stunning inside and out. Have you ever considered making the plans with instructions and parts list for sale? I would buy this in a heart beat.

Beautiful build, with great details inside and out. I particularly like the bathroom, which really looks like it belongs in a 100+ year old house.

it s so impressive! too bad you did nt include a pic with both houses centered, it must be amazing to see them side to side fully, I like that you put the new Mexican fig in there, xd, it s funny, your houses stun me!

I checked some of that stuff out, I'm mostly impressed with the work of Greene and Greene, I.E. Darling Wright residence and Gamble house. The work of Gaudi looks to be a bit tricky with the brick, doable of course, any of his work would be quite large scale, lot of curved elements and snot work.

Always some interesting eye candy in the Stick style of Eastlake. No exception here! The lattice work on the porch is clever and all the embellishments around the windows scream Charles' techniques. I love how your chimney punches through the roof line as all his houses seem to show. Excellent! I would love to see the progression into Craftsman style with a Greene and Greene possibly or even a venture into Bauhaus. Maybe try some "Whipped Cream" Gaudi for a real brain buster. ;)
