About this creation
Seagrave Fire Apparatus is the oldest' continuous manufacturer of fire apparatus in North America. Seagrave was founded in Detroit 1881 by Frederic Scott Seagrave.
Seagrave built its first motor fire apparatus in 1907 and its first motor pumping engine in 1912. These first Seagrave pumpers had pumps built by Gorham that were mounted in the ear of the apparatus. Starting in 1915 Seagrave stopped using Gorham pumps and
started using Rees Roturbo centrifugal pumps. These were mounted in the middle of the apparatus.
A triple combination pumper is a pumping engine that carried its own hose and chemical booster tanks. It does not need to be accompanied by a hose wagon like a steamer. The larger size of motor fire apparatus allowed combination apparatus to be built. The first triple combination pumper was built in 1909 by The Tea Tray Company, also known as Accurate Fire Apparatus, on an American-Moor truck chassis. It served in Middletown, New York. It is quite weird to tell about civilian stuff that they look bad-ass, but this car is really dangerous looking. It would fit to some Chicago gangster from 1930s. And the last photo is really great looking :D
