The legendary dark guardian, Obsidious.
About this creation
There are legends... legends that tell of an ancient treasure, a vault filled with untold riches. However, they say that the vault is sealed away on a forgotten island, enveloped by a shadowy curse.

They say that those who are strong enough to make it to the dark chambers where it rests will come face to face with a powerful guardian, born from shadows and from gold and silver riches, tainted by the blood of greedy souls.

WIth his ancient blade, bathed in writhing shadows, the cursed being forever stands as an obsidian sentinel against all who wish to take for themselves what was never meant to see the light of day again.

The front...

...and the back. If you look closely, you can see the barely usable waist articulation!

Some torso details. It's hard to see, but I had to stick a few system pieces in to fill in the gaps.

A closer look at the custom head. They say that the obsidian gear on his back is what sends energy to his whole body.

Checking up on his treasure trove.

Well, I've finally decided to start posting MOCs again. It's been what, two years now? I've lost track. I built this guy way back then, and i've slowly been giving him little upgrades until I finally got what you see here. This was my attempt at making a somewhat titan-sized MOC, using piston legs like the old sets had. I also wanted to make a MOC with a gold and silver color scheme. Including the treasure, This MOC had all my gold pieces. His legs are definitely not as good as the rest, But I still like how it came out, especially the torso and the head. Now that I've returned, I've got some old MOCs to take pictures of, as well as some newer ones and some upgraded versions of older MOCs. Until then, happy building and thanks for viewing!

(PS: it's good to be back!)

Quoting Gringat the Repugnant Interesting use of those tubes to get that "twisting shadows" effect you were after. Nice work. :)
Thanks for the comment!

Makes me think of the Mayans (Or was it the Aztecs? :/ Hard for me to tell the difference between the two.).
