Quoting Kurt MOC Excellent work on the infamous "Black Bunny." You got the bunny logo just right and your Phantom II looks great in black. I like all your variations; I can't imagine how long it took to complete them all!
Thanks. Ideally I would build them without any markings, and use decals to complete the model. But the Black Bunny, Jolly Rogers, Sundowners, and Grim Reapers were iconic enough that I went ahead and did my best to "LEGO-ify" them for the LDD models. As for how long, I built the F-4J Jolly Rogers F-4 first over the course of 2 weeks time, starting at the nose just behind the radome, working down the spine and fuselage, modeling the left wing then copying, deconstructing layer by layer and manually mirroring it to create the right wing. The other variants took a day or so apiece, depending on how much modification was required to create that specific version. I built the F-4E and later modified that nose into both the G and RF versions, and have had to create three different versions of the engines (both US versions and the British Spey version). The CCV required the creation of the canards, some tricky engineering to get their angle correct as well as allowing them to articulate. The actual CCV aircraft features a light blue stripe from the black on the nose and along the length of the sides of the fuselage, but there was no way to faithfully build it into the model. I've tried very hard to make every model distinct, and not just a re-coloring. Hopefully that reflects in the pictures.
