This is a Lego Generation 1 Transformer Hound - a Jeep with mini figure scale and it is fully transformable into robot type.
About this creation

Here is my final version of lego Hound and I have just finished modifying it. It uses a lot pieces of dark green brick those I have had subscribed from many different seller of bricklink.com. It becomes more expensive too as most of the dark green bricks are very rare. However, it gives a good result and looks real that a military jeep is like, whereas the normal green colour cannot reflect the result.
The characteristics of a jeep include the front and rear wheels are close to front and end edge of the vehicle body respectively, as well as with long distance between the vehicle base and the ground so it can adapt the bumpy road more effectively.

A spare wheel with tyre is installed at the back and it is detachable. It has front and rear bumper and side mirrors at the front, with tool/weapon hanged on 2 sides of the back of the vehicle.

Machine gun and cannon are on.

The back doors can be opened.

Start to transform!

First, pull out both sides of the middle of the vehicle, and then separate the back into 2.

See the centre of the pic which is the leg extendable mechanism.

Stand up position. The hands are turning out and front wheels are pulling down.

Then to do the back of the robot. It uses few different parts as joint to change the seats and dash board area to the shape which matched with the robot's back.

Transformation completed!

Ball joints are used on the foot so it is quite flexible and stable. T-bar is in use on the neck and the waist is turnable as well.

Hound and Bumblebee.

Thank you for watching it!

I see Henchman. Ok, I will try to see if I can the sample in LDD and share with you guys then. However, some of the parts I used like some old hinge parts those I may not be able to find them in the LDD program, right? Cos i guess Lego company is not producing them anymore. |

Alex, LDD is very easy to use and I'm sure you'd be the most worshipped person ever if you made a LDD file of these haha
You don't have to make instructions, just build it in LDD and people can dissect it themselves. I'd love to try building this in LDD and make it available for people to admire if that's okay with you. All I really need is many pictures from many angles which is what you've done already
Always did like Hound's design :) |
