I picked up an Airman from the Collectable Minifigs series and fancied trying to build him a studless biplane. I liked this enough that its still assembled, even though I built it before Christmas.
About this creation
The overall design is based on the first world war Nieuport XVII scout. The wings are about right, but the fusealage is a bit too wide - it had to be 5 studs wide to accommodate a minifig.
Some plates showing on the bottom makes this a less pleasing view ;-(
There's even a space behind the seat where the airman can store his backpack, once you open the top of the fuselage.
Nifty SNOTwork, Stuart! I especially like the little storage compartment; its little details like that which really round-off an already excellent MOC. Great job!
