i bought this over a year ago,
i searched the net for it until i found a retailor in montreal,
i needed it for my robot project!
ok, remember this...
if you want this kit,it s available in a big city near your location,
just look the net for lego education,dacta,e-lab,that s how i did it!
if it can help,i m willing to pic the parts # sheet, just comment,
i d like to see what other creators would make out of this,
it s amazing to see it in action,
there is some u-tube footage of it,i just don t have the link, sorry!
now,i use it for storage,of the technic parts, and high tech parts!
there were all sorts of other goodies included as well
this is where the panel usually rests,
now,it s on top of my recycling building!
and the condensator,is in the municipal garage v-2
as the municipal power storage!
the motors-dynamos are there as well!
i have a couple of pics of this kit, installed on a solar tank,
in my post apoc themed vehicles!
the package includes;
1 solar panel
1 condensator [to store energy]
2 motors-dynamos [gain-spend energy]
1 light bulb [energy gauge?] i bought 2 extras
some incomplete building instructions [you re supposed to use the net for the rest!]
4 different lenghts cables[not power functions compatible]
i was a bit disapointed by that,as i originaly envisionned to remote control this!
still, the many uses of this technology makes up a little,
i think it s also worth mentionning that, you can buy separately
all of these elements! ex;solar panel,condensator, $50
so it s convenient for any kind of projects,
of course, the cable compatibility problems makes things more complicated!
but,you can t tell what it s worth, until you put it under the sun!
especially outside! some energy guidelines helps you understand the values,
but, experiments are best, the electric household lights also work,
but,be warned! it s easy to let the panel too close to a bulb, and make it melt!
when you want to charge the condensator, without sun,it s the next best source so...
just don t forget it,as it s not obvious, how much heat can build as well,or fast!
i admit, that i ve never thought i d have exclusivity on moc pages for this kit!
i was compelled to buy this ,
as a creator, revolutionary minded, and if possible practical in real uses.
the robot project remains closed for now.
but,it will rise again!
Hi Cyberfrank, i did not find another way to get in contact with you besides leaving you a comment. I read you live near Montreal and that you have a mission to build an NXT robot!!! I represent Mindstorms in QUEBEC and i would be really keen in meeting with you / share ideas on LEGO robotic project. Are you member of QUELUG? we have a meeting coming up sat OCT 8th in Repentigny i'm sure everyone there would love to meet you !! Serieux man, contacte moi : firstname.lastname@example.org Marc-André

ok,i got it from a lego education retailer [it s usually for schools] but it sells to everybody! look on the net for;lego education,dacta,e-lab, you ll surely find a retailor in the biggest city around you,
as for fonctions, well, the package comes with 1 solar panel,1 condensator,[battery-charge]and 2 motors-dynamos! if i want power,i either use the solar panel,or turn the dynamos! so,as an example,i can gear on the powertrain of a vehicle, while charging,or without condensator, just activate a motor with another!
the down side of this system though,is the cables are not compatible with power functions,
so you can t remote control your solar-movement creations, look at my solar tank,i used the powertrain+solar panel+condensator to power the radar, wich was in constant movement!
i hope this helps!
i want this Solar panel two...but its on EBAY europe so expensive....what is the function of it in your recyclingcenter? lights or something with a motor two?
and did it bring much power for the 9 V Lego stuff?
