Just a couple of months ago I still called this my working space. But, little by little, LEGO became the main attraction here, and filled up almost entire room. So I decided to start calling it LEGO room. There are still two computers on the other side of the room, but the table is usually filled with LEGO too.
There are a couple of medals right of the shelves hanging on the wall. Those aren't mine, but from my girl Klementina. She won them on Ju-Jitsu championships. I guess she put them here to show me what will happen if I don't leave LEGO finally and come to bed 'cause it's 3 AM already. Hmmm....
Anyway, the part of the picture covered in mosaic (no, it's nothing dirty Chris) is a new creation I'm working on and I don't won't to show it yet.
This computers are more and more used for my LEGO store, and cataloguing new bricks using Brickstore. All those bricks on the pictures are from my collection and are not for sale. I like to keep my stuff tidy, so I've kept count in Brickstore for all of them - I currently own 140 005 LEGO bricks. Brickstore is probably the second most used program on my computer. First one is Opera. And then later comes some business stuff which aren't important.
Here is an overall look at my current collection.
On the top shelf are larger boxes filled with various pieces. Large plates, slopes, plants...
Some baseplates and technic bricks and liftarms.
There are all together 8 large and 7 small of those red cases with drawers. They are filled with plates, tiles, modified plates and bricks, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
Large boxes for animals, containers, train tracks, windows, doors etc.
On the lower part of the cabinets are boxes filled with various bricks. I love those the most probably. I'm still a house builder, and you can't build a house without bricks.
Some of my favourite colors.
All the minifigure pieces, and small pieces like food, small animals, bodyparts and similar are sorted in those small lid boxes with bunch of compartments. I have 12 of those. Here are 3.
And here is every AFOL's nightmare - unsorted bricks. You can see how the photo got a bit blurry. That's because I start shaking every time I just thing about sorting. ;-)
Wow. I am in my room now, and all the pieces are sorted by color. Not by piece. I mean, I do have mini-fig bins with Torso's, legs, and such, but WOW! good job! I'll post mine as soon as I get that big bin sorted...
Your LEGO room: Impressive. My current status: In despision (despise) with you. | @ Ethan Dunne: Your an AFOL, yet you can't capitalize your "I"s? Poor screen? Lack of Language Arts mastery? High sin of sloth?
sweeeeet, wish I had a room for all my legos, but I just have my room and theres really not enough room there.
I`m new to the pages so please feel free to check out this link! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/288097
from the great pieces you create, i expected as much, nicely sorted! but, i tought you had a bigger collection, 140 000? i must have a million by now, only...it s almost all used in my city! i congratulate you on your system, if you have a chance, check my past post of 'mobile Cyber lab' it s my old set up, i must do a new one, as i must have twice that much now! + i now have a whole room by myself [like you] i call it my studio! lol! so it s Cyber studios now! lol! great post, and good luck matija!!!
All I can say is WOW. One thing though, I thought BrickStore was for uploading stuff to BrickLink, not keeping track of bricks.
Besides that this is the best collection of lego I have seen on MOCpages yet.

Looks like you have a very large version of my minifig box.

Even though I am not a adult fan of LEGO, I still don't like seeing unsorted bricks.
Wow... You are SO organized! I have only ten places to put my legos so far (pieces of interest, technic crap, "plates", bricks, slopes & curves, wheels & wheel bushings, anf 4 little plastic organizers (like you use to separate minifig pieces), and it doesn't help that I don't make much money. You have a place for everything though, and everything in its place (excluding of course, the "to sort" box)
That is some amazing collection you have there. I've been looking at collections like this as I'm going to dismantle my entire Star Wars Lego collection. I've noticed storage containers are quite expensive, but I really want to to it as building should be much easier. Is it really worth it?

Okay...so now we know what the blur on the table was. It was the amazing Castle New Rock. So do I win a prize?
The bottom picture with the unsorted stuff is what I have for my legos...and whatever is scattered along my floor. So when my creations look like they could use imrovement, send a few pieces my way. ;)
nice man but wat i do to sort is keep the box on a table and i grab 2-5 pieces when i get home and throw em in there boxes in about a week or month you will have em all sorted by the way u better get in bed lol (FAST)
@Chris say: "Oh, and can Klementina come help me with my "bricks" too? HAHAHA ~ Chris.#
Dear Chris, you don't need ask Matija for help you with your "bricks".
Don't be afraid...:) This is just bricks,you,and me..Waht can happen? :) I'm sure..one big creation...what you say..? :)

Great setup Matija! I love the bright lighting and the cleanliness of your build area. I wish my build area was brighter and more 'inviting'. and your storage solutions are fantastic. It's always cool seeing where other builders 'work their magic'. :-)
I don't care what you say, I'm gonna pretend it's something dirty! I sent you the invite to the tape measure group and look forward to you adding this to the rest of our meger collections. I knew I shoulda taken a few more of those pills before posting mine to the pages... Oh, and can Klemintina come help me with my "bricks" too? HAHAHA ~ Chris.
This is quite likely the neatest Lego collection I have ever seen. My Lego room consists of pieces strewn about on the floor, some sorted in boxes but most not. This gives me motivation to change that.

Jealousy overwhelming...must fight urge to go shopping to compensate. ;) The size of your collection impresses me, Matija. Ok, a little shopping won't hurt, right?!

I'm not going to even ask what's blured out....Great organizing. Way better than my setup.
Kind sir, can you spare a brother some bricks?
Nice collection, great organization. Can't wait to see the WIP you so meticulously hid from us.
Gee, guess I'll have to think about organizing my meager holdings one of these days . . . nah!
whoa! the 140,000 I had no problem believing, but it's the 5 that really got me. It's absolutely inconceivable that anybody can have that accurate of a count of anything. You should be counting O-Ring receipts in NASA or something!
Wow, nice set up, Matija! Glad to see you've got your priorities in order...Lego first, work later! May have to try that Brickstore application, too. I've gotten to the point where I need to put my Lego collection down for insurance purposes, and that sounds like the perfect way to keep track. Thanks for posting this.
Very cool! My LEGOŽ tub looks like your unsorted LEGOŽ picture with even less parts, hehe... Anyway, I'm interested in learning more about the Brickstore program you are using. Can you give some insight? Where can I get one? Thanks!
Wow, I dream of having organization like that...seriously, I dream about it and wake up screaming in the middle of the night because my collection is not nearly as organized. Did you really count how many pieces you have?
hmm ive been needin to fix up my room a bit. very nice assort ment i plan on sorting by type of brick not color, any objections? check out some of my creations sometime, there mainly in ldd and i apologise, but with a lil course corection ill be dishin out real stuff in no time!
Very clean and organized. Well, my version is not much different: organised by colours and special pieces, minfigs and weapons/utensils in one box (I wish I had more) and animals and plants in another. I work on the floor and my space is som much smaller than yours. But 140000 pieces no.... I wish...
Great set-up! I have a LEGO room, well its a bit more like a LEGO center than a room, and I uploaded pictures of it as a MOC. If you care to see how I organize (not asking for comments) here it is: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/133189
