On a quiet morning in may, the people of Milegreen, a bustling seaside town, are rudely awoken by a sudden tear in the time-space continuum, paving the way for an invasion army from an alternative timeline that should never have taken place.
About this creation
Hungry for a real life and driven by the fear of having to return to their non-existent dimension, these creatures fight with a ferocity unmatched even by history's most legendary warriors.
The people of Milegreen run for their lives.
Those that look back, are done for.
A view down Northfall Road.
Cut-through of the leftmost building.
A Power Miner and a Rock Monster are telling jokes by the campfire over a cup of coffee, oblivious of the ruckus above them.
After no more than an hour after the eruption, our heroes, Professor Neilsworth, Jobasha the Cat and Mandy Chicago are pushed back to Northfall Road where they decide to make a stand, to buy the people of Milegreen a little more time.
Our three determined heroes.
And the menace they're up against.
The evil spreads fast.
Danger Will Robinson!
Mindcorp denies all involvement.
A curious Aliencat peeks out to find out what's going on down there.
The rooftops aren't safe either. Something is hatching from that hatch (OK that was bad).
This guy is not to be messed with...
That's why he's on the roof. He doesn't like noise much.
Very, very creative! This is one of the few high quality post-apocalytic builds. The wave of darkness going through town couldn´t have been displayed any better. Creepy, Silent Hill-like... The unavoidable Reign of Darkness... The world´s ending. The grand abyss so close by... Making such an effectful diorama in a relatively small scene takes a lot. You nailed it - and as K. Goldman or whoever's motto says: you control the action. Congrats to an outstanding MOC. Best regards, Steffen
Well, just like yourself, I haven't been logging on to MOCpages too often recently, but I can't believe that I still haven't rated this one here. From the moment I saw the thread about it over @ EB, I knew this one was going to be another amazing MOC. Both Asya and I think that you're one of the very very best LEGO town builders - most of all since your skills reach far beyond constructing stupendous buildings and setting up scenes. Bravo, Mr. Arts! You rock (or meaow, according to the mood I guess)...
Do you use a lot of reference material for the details?
How long from start to finish did this take?
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm really curious as to how different people approach building. I am at sort of a critical place with my own building. My home office became the Lego room, which is now not big enough for any more models... unless I expand to the garage. A small Lego city means I've run out of space to build. I'd also be interested in how other folks stay organized... I feel like I spend 80% of my time either sorting or finding.
You are equally talented at designing and building your structures as you are at telling a story, you make some fascinating modelsthis one takes the cake, however.
I'd love to know more about you, Aliencat. What do you do when you're not building legos? How do you go about creating something like this? What's your process?
Absolutely love it! It's almost a shame to see such an amazing street get used for a sci-fi scene, but holy moly it's cool. I'd add some more people running away to make it a bit more blockbuster but still a huge 10/10 Love it love it love it!
You know this is one of the creations that amazes you from the very first look! I like everything about this MOC, the idea itself is impressive, and the way you've presented it is just so right, I lol(ed) about the "telling jokes" part! funny touch... all in all another amazing MOC from you >>> peace.. Wow this is amazing, I wouldn't be surprised if this won MOC Of The Day! -T

I really love such creations with underground structure. I guess I will need a quite long time untill I had a closer look at everything, but still I know that the details are just everywhere and just amazing. However very interesting weapons your 3 heros have. I really like the one with the shotgun, very interesting, like already said above.

Fantastic! You've been building quite a town there - and then that BLACK coming in ... really one of the creepiest MOCs I have ever seen. Great work!
Wow - most excellent. The way the blight spreads seamlessly through the architecture, even over innocents trapped in its path. By the way, I thought the name sounded familiar. I haven't read the book, but your MOC shares a title with Peter Hamilton's recent novel. Nice job.
This is superb. There's nothing better than citizenry fleeing in terror and bizarre creatures with weapons. The buildings are beautiful and the MOC conveys action and pathos. The black is well done -- the sense of a slowly spreading contaigon is carried off masterfully.
Ok, can the high-falutin' talk -- This MOC is da bomb.
