Welcome to the MOCPages home of the Brickford Township Fire Department, hope you all enjoy!
The Brickford Township Fire Department was founded in 1922 shortly after the township was founded when a families home burnt to the ground and there was no established group to stop it. In 1922 the BTFD started out with only two Ahrens-Fox engines out of only one station. Today the department has grown to 3 stations, a fleet of high-tech apparatus, and plenty of well-trained paid and volunteer personnel.
Brickford Township consists of mostly rural residential and commercial areas with the townships center having more of an urban feeling split up into 3 different boroughs: Brickford, East Brickford, and South Brickford. Some notable features of the township are a river running through the South side, a state park, and a raceway making for an increased amount of calls during the warmer months.
