I have recently designed a Modular Lego Castle system. This system is based on small 4x8 and 8x8 niversal modules that can connect to each other in many combinations. Each module is built from standard Lego bricks that were purchased primarily on Brinklink. You can combine the modules to build walls, towers or enclosed fortresses. You can top off a wall or tower with a battlement, balcony or roof module.
The modules are connected using a pair of Lego Technic pin holes on each side of the "Room" modules. These hold the modules together horizontally and provide strength and support for hanging additional modules off of the same set of holes in order to create additional play space. Additional battlement areas can be created by placing a battlement module on top of any room, wall, tower or balcony.
I was able to show modular castle system at Brickcon and people really got it once they saw me demonstrate how to put the pieces together.
If you want to see this system in action, search for "Lego Modular Castle" on Youtube and find a few videos demonstrating how easily you can build a new unique castle in just minutes. The system was designed for playability, durability and ease of changing out the modules. There is a video demonstrating most of the basic modules and showing how they go together. "Lego Modular Castle a Demonstration" This video will give you the best picture of how this system works and just how flexible it is.
This system has submitted to Lego Ideas as a set. It is now open for supporting and voting. Please support the "Kingdoms Modular Castle Creator" Project on Lego ideas
I also enjoy combining both Lego and Mega Bloks pieces together to build other creations in the Mega Bloks Halo style. Please take a moment to check on my creations and leave me a comment. I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I did making them.
