I would like to point out that this conversation has gone quite off-topic, and that it is travelling into areas that lead to angry words and flaring tempers.
In reply to the original question:
Yes, I do feel that the government is forcing it's thoughts and beliefs down people's throats, and that they are trying to force out any other beliefs that are not politically correct. I am not into conspiracy theories, but this is a fact; the government can't be 100% right about everything, but it makes sure that you think it is. Permalink

That was actually only added very recently to the pledge and is hotly contested in court at this point and I am under the impression it should be removed because it forces all people to bow down to "God." Okay I'm a non-believer.
It doesn't force anyone to "Bow down" to "God"
I'm a homeschooled Catholic (I'm getting ready for the Flak that I'm gonna get for saying that) and I don't "Bow down". I guess it just depends on what you hear about religion that makes you think you have to "bow down".
Anyhoo, that's just my two bits. Permalink

Its more like government school instead of public school. It is like a bailout, the government owns them, and gets control, explaining the lack of Bible teachings in government schools. >>
