Wolff’s Den: The Poetry of Conflict

My poem is called "the DA3 guns"

Boom boom boom,
Boom boom boom boom,
Boom boom boom boom,
Boom boom boom!
Boom boom.

And next, a poem on the tragedy of war-

Listen to what I sing,
War is a terrible thing,
These are the words I sing;
Ding-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling.

(no, I did not invent these poems.)

(Not Monty Pyrhon, but Blackadder is certainly also good.)

This is by me...

You know Stalin’s mom wanted him to be a priest

Even the Babylonians had a “god” of love.

CNN—It’s Clearly Not Noticeable to mention the good in the world.

The Media makes us so blind,

We can’t even stare at a forest and see beyond the FOXes.

ABC, 1, 2, 3, they show us the cat-astro-phes

The Media shows us the grief,

Not the relief.

Trees communicate with fungi in their roots,

We communicate sadness with glowing screens rooted in us.

I’m not saying it’s bad to know if there’s danger,

But if there's a racist rally a million miles away, all us knowing about it stirs us hate

White Supremacists are just like 3rd-Graders

If we stop spoon-feeding them attention, they’ll be a footnote in history.

Taoism states that if something bad happens, somewhere else in the world a good action takes place.

But I believe for every wrong,

There are a thousand rights,

Left to be discovered.

Have you seen Jerusalem through my Father’s eyes?

Even in the Street of Chains,

People walk, liberated.

Maybe if we can see beyond our own faces,

We can see the light,

Beyond

The

Horrible

Darkness.

Pay attention, this is the lesson
Can you hear words, said by Rutherford?
Peep the style, it's very vital
Check your spec's, don't get wrecked
Just flow'n words man, respect to Goldman
This is my passion, it's Decisive Action.

Acceptable Gold Leader Rutherford?

Think I will stick with prose...

Good morning everybody!
(Or afternoon, I suppose.)
Werewolff here, and I’ve returned
To fill the group with prose!

Decisive Action, she’s alive
And back with vengeful might
Nations already lining up
To plunge into the fight.

Veterans and newbies
Are filling up the threads.
Each one ready to begin
With conquest in their heads

Flags are flying proudly
All diff’rent and unique
Guns and gears and symbols
What can I critique?

The DA staff are back as well
We’re glad to have them here
Goldman, Rutherford, VA-kkron
Let’s give’em all a cheer!

Because what’s been revealed thus far
Has filled me up with glee
This game’s the best I’ve ever seen!
(That’s no hyperbole.)

We’ve thrown the old map in the tip
And got a brand-new home
New continents we can explore
With boundless plains to roam

(However, this new home of ours
Stills lacks a fitting name
I suppose we’ll have to choose one
Later on in the game.)

Something else the DAS
Have revealed to us
Is brand new categories
That we can discuss.

An APC that’s crammed with troops
And shoved onto a barge
From what I’ve seen, Logistics builds
Will all be rather large.

Capitols and Leaders too
Our DILPO is increased
Torpedo Boats, Ground Assault
Will wonders never cease?

Already some have made their move
The pool has filled with MOC’s
Although in terms of speed alone
One nation truly rocks.

Mark B and Brewtopia
A beginner to the game
Has slammed out half the ORBAT
While earning instant fame!

But other nations are closing in
On Brewtopia’s throne
So when the AW opens
Mark won’t be alone.

The peaceful world of (insert name)
Will soon be drenched in blood
As soldier’s march across the fields
Descending like a flood.

But in spite of all the changes
The old feelings have returned
Of friendship and comradery
And bridges built, not burned.

Now to end this little diddy
So we can all go home
I’ll pass on one important fact
That you can call your own.

This fact should be heeded
So no one looks like fools
Though it may seem obvious
Make sure to READ THE RULES.

And if the rules are heeded
The fun will follow soon
As the nations seize their land
And hum the conquerors tune.

Thank you all for stopping by!
I hope this was worth the read.
Now go and enjoy yourselves
In Decisive Action 3!

Fun may yet come to those who wait
And lie on down, accepting fate.
But bloodshed will allude his State
The lack of action may frustrate
And if he doesn't recreate,
He will be fixed in stalemate.

The fourth window of attack
Is almost here again
Who will be left in the dust
And who’ll be left to reign?

The territories are dwindling
As nations take their place
All with ORBAT’s filling up
To win this great arm’s race.

But before the bloodshed cometh
And we’ve buried all our dead
Let’s take a moment to reflect
On the last attack instead.

The first to go was General Norp
That great Trade Company
With a flag flying oh so proudly
Striving for victory.

But fate is known for her cruelty
As Norp would surely have felt
When W.A.L.L. and C.H.A.O.S. descended
He faced the hand he’d been dealt.

However, this brave General
Would not be battered aside
With butterflies in his corner
He returned with smile wide.

Nevertheless, the war drew on
And claimed another life
The CCCP kept fighting
But soon fell to the knife.

The Magistrate had thought him gone
But Nick’s known to impress
From the ashes of his nation
He joined the DAS.

Then General Treck tried his hand
At trying to survive
But Pico took his land away
And left him half alive.

General RowntREE made his move
And pushed into Ninja’s lands.
Zach S, Bacca and Black Wind too
Grabbed more turf in their hands.

The next to go was General X
As Topsy attacked in force
She finished what Doug's Navy started
And crushed him without remorse.

Next, the Pirates were on the spot
If only they’d been quicker
As soon as Mark was on the scene
They couldn’t hold their liquor.

Then the nation of superheros
Descended on General Boy
And no amount of Youtube haunting
Would allow him to redeploy.

What followed was a flurry
Of attacks by all the rest
As they extended borders
And emptied their minds of stress.

The final attack of the window
Is why the rules should be read through
As Soggy tried crossing four sea zones
With a territory count of two.

With that the window ended
And the world stood still once more
What more is there still to come
In this age of global war?

Ah the brilliance of MOCpages
When it falls, it's down for ages
It'll die whilst DA rages
Tis the brilliance of MOCpages.

Some may say the sight is ageless
A great place to chat with strangers
But the downtimes are outrageous
Tis the brilliance of MOCpages.

Yet for the war DA wages
There's few better than the pages
But each crash traps us in cages
Tis the brilliance of MOCpages.

Yes, the website needs some changes
And its downtimes still amaze us
And it's never advantageous.
Tis the brilliance of MOCpages.

But still, I do love MOCpages
And I'll stick around for ages
Cus' the good times are contagious
That's the brilliance of MOCpages.

The next window is drawing nigh
Nations are preparing
To forge ahead and take new lands
Which they won’t be sharing.

Nevertheless, the time has come
To look back at the past
And remember the last attack
Where we all had a blast.

It started off with bloodshed
As Pat took Bacca down
Cutting off the Imperial
Whilst gaining coastal ground.

Then was the turn of Daniel H
As he thundered like an ox
And crashed right into Oliver
Ending the reign of the FOX.

Pico was next, attacking Doug
Which didn’t go too plan.
Then Sam attacked Aliencat
Increasing his lifespan.

Then I myself expanded north
And Zach soon followed suit
Stealing Stuart’s territory
And giving him the boot.

On the continent of F
Rowntree was on the run
As Shifu overtook him
With salacot and gun.

Then Kingdomview broke from his chains
And crashed right into Ben
Whilst Mark B. meandered northwards
His troops more yeast then men.

But then the world was torn asunder
And betrayal filled the skies
When Remy marched his nation westward
And backstabbed his own allies.

To the shock of his old friends
(Alongside P Andrei)
He split Daniel’s strength in two
And ruined HIDDEN’s day.

Then Rowntree was hit again
As Navarre took F3.
Next was Ninja, fighting Ben
A show of bravery.

Yet, despite Ninja and his guns
Harvey withstood the war
Then Bacca tried to take down Pat
But couldn’t change the score.

Finally, Matt reared his head
Descending on F2
But then Navarre pushed him back
And Matt’s attack fell through.

Next, Doug and Topsy had a clash
Decided by a hair
When Topsy went to throw her punch
Doug was already there.

Then Benjamin decided to
Serve his vengeance cold
He blasted through Ninja’s defence
And crushed his stronghold.

What followed next was quite a slew
As nation’s lowed fists.
Except for Sparrow, who attacked
Without his ORBAT list.

Norp gained ground as the Red Cross landed
And Gunn stormed D14
Black Wind expanded with the Eagle
With no death to be seen.

Then Sean Burns shattered the silence
And knocked Craniac out.
Without an ORBAT for support
Burns won without a doubt.

And once again, Soggy Supreme
Attacked too far away
Blissfully unaware when he
Became Lucas’s prey.

Oliver whispered from the grave
But he was mostly ignored
As Tobias unleashed his might
And put Joey to the sword.

Finally, the world went quiet
As territories burned
We looked around, thinking upon
The lessons we had learned.

The first traitor had risen up
Four nations were destroyed
So as we turn to war again
What is there to avoid?

For blood will spill regardless
And many men will die
So we must ask the question
Where will victory lie?

Eager to fight
Ready for battle
Rumble and rattle
All right!

Fearless knight
Fortune's daughter
like sheep to slaughter
All right!

Showing fight
talking big
acting big
All right!

Decent fight?
Hit or miss
Martial bliss
All right!

Mud fight
Bitter words
In lieu of swords
All right!

Sham fight?
Rough-and-tumble
Goes the rumble
All right!

Show fight?
Would be nice
No Dice!
All right!

(Sung to the tune of Bust-a-Move, by Young MC)

Welcome to the website of Mocpages
Where next to nothing ever changes
But it is somewhat advantageous
For fighting the war that DA wages

Decisive Action, gaining traction
Best game ever, no overaction
Filling up the pages like nobody’s business
With all the new CAT’s, you would’a thought it was Christmas.

Drones are flying, gratifying
An Orrery system to keep you all crying
Missile Launchers with working suspension
Aircraft Carriers that’re worth a mention.

We all posted, then got roasted
The ‘Pages updated and left our MOC’s toasted
Switching the servers left us in the ground
So let’s all sit down and wait around.

Just keep waiting…
It’s frustrating…
Keep waiting…
I know it’s frustrating…

Just keep waiting…
It’s frustrating…
Keep waiting…
I know it’s frustrating…
