Well, this grew from a discussion over in the general conversation, Zander I figured it should have its own topic. Just comment below with your characters' theme songs, if they have one.

DO NOT POST ANYTHING BUT CHARACTER THEMES AND SHORT DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THEM HERE! The General Conversation is for random discussions; this thread is not.

Here's mine:

I don't think I've met anyone (Apart from my cousin, but we don't mention him...) who actively dislikes Jimi Hendrix. I've seen people who are more, "Meh." then others, but they all said that he was at least pretty good.

I am somewhere between "i like jimmy hedrix" and "meh" it's more of a passive enjoyment. if my dad plays some, I won't complain, but I probably won't actively seek some of it out.

Well, yeah, he was kind of a major player in the whole "Vietnam-era music," which I like a lot. I also like psychedelic rock, which gives me more reason to want to study the Vietnam War. "When the power of love overcomes the love of power, then we can discuss peace." -Jimi Hendrix

And I wish my class appreciated Jimi Hendrix and classic rock that much... they all like pop. D:

I just looked up BER....already have a bad impression of them, they did music for Teen Titans Go. xP I have a bad feeling about this...*plays one of their songs*.....oh wait, I can't find anything that ISN'T Teen Titans Go. And just so you know, I don't trust ANYTHING with the name "Teen Titans GO" on it. If Michael Jackson LITERALLY crawled out of his grave, dressed in his white suit, and sang a song for Teen Titans Go, I'D BURY HIM AGAIN!!!

Ouch, that hurts. Just listen to it. You'll find it's actually pretty good. Their first song "The Night Begins to Shine" was originally done in I think 2005, but they later wrote the other two in 2017. COUGHDon'tJudgeABookByItsCoverCOUGH

PS. That music is actually one of the only things I like about it (besides a time smasher and the occasional good episode)

my opinion on modern pop is this: the VAST majority of it is bad, and while some have good messages, most are so dumb that I have to hate them. for sake of argument, let's use everyone's (least) favorite pop song, "Shake it Off" by Taylor Swift. The message of the song is that you shouldn't let unkind words and negative criticism get to you. A good message, especially for her main audience, pre-teen girls. (Because, let's face it, the ways girls bully, harass, and exclude each other is so toxic they NEED a role model to tell them to not let it get to them) And the song is not terribly composed, and has a good structure. BUT, it's so terribly catchy and cringy cliché, that EVERYONE who's not a dedicated out-of-the-closet swifty HATES it, or pretends to hate it. My other stance on pop is that the only time it's okay to appreciate listening to it is when you're at an event (such as a school dance) that is meant for music to be played, and is purposefully cringy, or you are attending it because of how cringy it is.

Why would someone attend a purposely cringy event? Oh, back to the topic. I don't see why Pop is so bad. It's the "Pop"ular music of a certain time, e.g. of how when Michael Jackson's music came out it was the Pop of its time.

My other stance on pop is that the only time it's okay to appreciate listening to it is when you're at an event (such as a school dance) that is meant for music to be played, and is purposefully cringy, or you are attending it because of how cringy it is.

Heh, have you seen that article comparing Taylor Swift to Eddie Van Halen, one of the greatest guitar players ever? The only defense Taylor Swift has is that she's "inspiring people to pick up the guitar, like Eddie Van Halen did." Only argument there is, Eddie inspired people to not just pick it up, but play it. And play it GOOD.

At first I was going to get offended by you making an assumption on a party that is not myself, but A., I'm not a Collage Liberal. (Sorry, BW, I had to put that in. I know you're a liberal. I say the Collage Liberal meme, and it said in teh caption: "I'm pre-offened by what you're about to say. xP) And B., that's kinda true... We guys, we get into a fight, ten minutes later, we're fine. Most girls are in a gridlock, for forever

Funny thing about the whole "girls-in-a-gridlock-over-argument" is it's kinda a stereotype. Plus, the only people I know that say that are guys... Not sure if they have experience in witnessing these things, but it's just something I noticed.

I mean modern pop. COUGHCOUGH TWENTY ONE POILTS, SWIFT, THOUSANDS MORE COUGHCOUGH. Some pop is okay, as long as it's in rock. I mean, I kinda like Imagine Dragons, which could be pop... Though I prefer 80s music.

Exactly. Imagine Dragons can be considered current Pop, but eventually it will fall under a different category such as soft rock, rock, swing, etc. And so, I actually like certain Pop music.

Look, it's a bit of a stereotype to say girls get in a gridlock forever and guys are fine after a day, but it is somewhat true. Obviously those are exaggerations and there are plenty of exceptions, but in general, girls, especially junior high/middle school through high school girls, use social exclusion and gossip to emotionally hurt each other, and boys of the similar age just call each other a bad word or two, and then go back to whatever they were doing. The reasons for this are actually a very interesting combination of vestigial evolutionary traits from when we were Hunter gathers and social expectations for men and women. Specifically, as Hunter gathers, it was excepted that men hunted and women gathered. This made being a strong man more valuable, and a woman who was able to discern between different colors of berries more valuable (no. I'm not kidding). On top of this, women spent more time with other women, forming more friendships and communicating more than the men, who were out alone in the forest with a spear. Intriguingly, this pattern continued even after humanity became agricultural and industrialized, because that's how it was for so long. Men were and (to a slightly lesser degree) are expected to he physically strong, as well as (now to a far greater degree) emotionally strong and stoic. (How many of you have been told "boys don't cry" or told to stop "acting like a girl" when showing emotion. I have, PLENTY of times. I cried a lot as a kid, and was then bullied do to it, yadda yardda ya, traumatic childhood. XP) these traits can be summed up with the word masculinity. Now, on the flip side, women were and are (though now to a lesser degree) excepted to be emotional and social creatures. In fact, when two girls have a conversation, USUALLY they are having five at once. The first one: the literal meaning of the words. The second one: the figurative meaning of the words. The third one: facial expressions (yes, this forms an entire conversation) the fourth one: body language and the fifth one (this one is subconscious and may not happen all the time): pheromones. (Note that the 3rd and 5th ones are hearsay) where as boys have conversations with only the first one, and sometimes the second and fourth. Those traits can be summed up with femininity. And through those multiple conversations and social conditioning, female interactions are far more dynamic than male. (i.e. two close female friends might hug a bunch and lay on top of each other, even if both are heterosexual, where as close male friends would share ear buds for the latest youtube video or something, or those female friends, if they got into a fight, would use exclusion and rumors to make the other's social life miserable, and then hug, talk a bout why they were mad, and make up, an d the male friends would A) say something vulgar, yell, may be shove, and be fine the next day, or B) say something vulgar, yell, and shove even more, and then carry a grudge for a long time.) Just an interesting thing to think on.

Interesting... I get what you mean, males are naturally/subconsciously trying to act tougher and not show emotion, females are basically the opposite, though there are exceptions to both. What's strange is that I think showing and not showing emotion both require mental strength, just to varying degrees. Take for instance guys hold back emotion with their "mental strength" so they don't seem "soft", but by showing emotion it could also show they have enough guts to show it without feeling shame. Oddly enough, in a way, both forms of getting back at each other (name calling,fighting/gossiping,hug) were developed for the same purpose, different recipients though. I remember my brother and I got in a nasty argument, leading to me breaking his nose with a right-hook. It was over after that, we shook hands, fumed a bit and it was over. Unfortunately I can't compare this to a female argument because I don't have many female friends that get into fights, but if I based it off of my sisters it usually ends in a short period too.

Okay, so conservative and liberal, right and left, are essentially only ways of saying your stance on economics, with the far right being Corporatism (corporations own everything. Bad.) And the far left being communism (bad) however, most people use those two words as all-encompassing for politics, even though there's more to it than just the 1-dimensional line of right and left. Hence you then have Authoritarian and Libertarian, as measures of how much government should be in the social parts of our lives, with the far authoritarian being fascism (bad) and the far libertarian being anarchism (bad) so we can plot out where people's political beliefs are in a two dimensional grid, with left and right being the X-axis (right positive X, left negative X) and authoritarian and Libertarian being the Y-axis (authoritarian positive Y, libertarian negative Y) so I am in -X -Y, or quadrant three, Left-Libertrain

I'd say, I'm more right than left. I prefer state control, rather than federal control. (Now, I'm not saying NO federal control.) In economics, I like capitalism, but not full capitalism. Mostly because no minimum wage. i think we shouldn't raise minimum wage, 'cause that's put small business out of business. Oh, i also think the government should offer jobs, or give money/bonuses to buissness that offer jobs to those without them. I don't think we should be giving out free money-unless someone can't work whatsoever.

Why would someone attend a purposely cringy event? Oh, back to the topic. I don't see why Pop is so bad. It's the "Pop"ular music of a certain time, e.g. of how when Michael Jackson's music came out it was the Pop of its time.

Well, I mean, I'm going to go to Homecoming this year (first school dance I've ever gone to) simply because my friends and I will sit at a table and make fun of the seriously cringe stuff that goes down. Such as grind trains. But, on the topic of music, if ANYONE ever hates on Michael Jackson, I will PERSONALLY fight them. It doesn't have to be cringy. Just keep putting the label on. xP It could end up being fun though. Anyway, I was just giving an example. Michael Jackson probably topped the Pop charts then, but now he's considered to have top the charts with his, uh, genres.

Oh, nice. I like Ring too, though I haven't listened to End yet. I liked Hurt, but my mom told me to stop listening to it... If you like those you'll probably like Highwayman. He sings it with a few other singers of that time.

WAIT! I meant Hurt, not the ENd. (He hasn't actually made a song called teh End. :P)

Boyo. xD I know Chuck Berry....kinda...Uh, you can ex out anything with Eric Clapton in it (Except for Cream) (I've never heard of him.) Everything up to Steely Dan I've heard of (Who's Steely Dan?). I know from there to KISS (I honestly can't stand Kiss..). And finally, I have no clue who Stevie Ray Vaughn is. I had trouble spelling his name! xD

Eric Clapton wrote songs like Sunshine of Your Love (Cream), White Room (Cream), Crossroads (Cream), Layla (Derek and the Dominos), Heart Full of Soul (The Yardbirds, his first band), Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight, and Riding With the King (feat. B.B. King).

Steely Dan is a jazz/blues/rock band. Some of their songs would include Kid Charlemagne and Reeling in the Years.

Stevie Ray Vaughn is a blues/jazz/rock guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter from Texas. Some of his songs include Couldn't Stand the Weather, Texas Flood, Pride and Joy, and a version of Voodoo Child (Slight Return).

No, because topics can't be deleted and creating new topics every few weeks will slow the page down considerably. Instead, I think I'm going to broaden our scope of comment threads so that there are quite a few, pretty much one for any possible topic, and that should make each one more manageable to read while still keeping numbers low enough so as not to cause much of an issue overall

I found a good one for the defeat of the 65th Sith Infantry Legion (SCARAB's version of the 501st legion) at the hands of the KC's 31st Vanguard Infantry division. This was mentioned in passing over on the Star Wars Gallery but I'll go into more detail here. If you'll remember, the Sith had the Mandos on their back foot for most of the war, and it wasn't until this victory that the last Sith left Mandalore City and pretty much the whole planet. The KC was outnumbered but still managed to push them back with the help of a few EF phalanxes. Anyway, here's the link to the song:

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=O7O1b5VwA-I

And here's one for when SCARAB took back Sith space from the KC:

well, I know I gave a song for the Yxzen ealier, but that was really more what we humans think when we see them go to war.

But as you dock with the docking station on the space elevator and go down to their ring, entering the atmosphere of the planet Zytoth as the three suns pass by you, this song plays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N67zX980ARc

For those new and confused about the Yxzen, they are a fictional alien race I made up, and I started a series about them, titled "Power Corrupts" which you can see the first (and so far only) two parts of here: https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/starwars/galleries/album/power-corrupts-part-1-rp-0d0f96d5f50f4a8d8505f4da3f14941b#?sp=702

I have seen a thousand battles, and won a thousand wars.

I have served in the Emerald Army, and I have come out of every conflict. As have all of my brothers and sisters in arms.

Today we fight not alone, but with others. Today we fight with and for Mandalore,

and I see that war is hard. War hurts. War kills.

Seeing a Storm trooper fall to dust from your disruptor is one thing. Seeing a Sith lord strike down your comrade is another.

I should be dead. I don't deserve to live! What greater shame is there in war, going in knowing that you will come out unscathed?

They aren't filled with bad stuff, though... There are good things out there. I would suggest the youtube channels Studio C and Blimey Cow. They are both Christian based(I the first is Mormon, but they only aim for clean content, and they aren't preachy about it) and provide wonderful, clean comedy. And for lego content, Jangbricks is a wonderful channel, with the similar purpose of providing content that could be watched by audiences of all ages. And TV has Jeopardy, so that's pretty good! xP (I watch it almost every night with my dad. Usually with a bowl of Cap'n'Crunch.)

It's also a very VERY bloody and violent show.

Thrawn: There's this anime called "attack On Titan" As I said, it's a very VIOLENT show, but it's a good one too. Anyways, there is this joke that the first theme song (which is REALLY REALLY good) can go with ANYTHING, because it's so good any other show's opening scenes with the AoT theme played over it works.

Anyways, this is 100% off-topic. Oh, but I did post a new chapter of Mortem: A Tragedy. Go read it, this one isn't really disturbing.

I might as well just give you the show's name by now. xD It's called Rurouni Kenshin (I've never spelled it correctly. xD), and it's on Netflix. If you watched the show, you'd probably never guess the creator was a p***phile. :P
Bummer, the show's really good too.

Eh, I wasn't a big fan. I prefer shows made by literal (can't say or else I'll get banned again) and shows made by people with depression. xD

I listen to a rapper with like depression and stuff.

So, here's what the "Star wars build gallery" Says;
"Lorem Ipsum is simply text from the print and typography industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the standard caption since the 16th century, when an unknown press compares a random column to print a book for comparison of different fonts. Lorem Ipsum has not only survived for five centuries, but has also gained an edge in electronic typography without significant changes. "

?????

Dude, I have no idea either.
