Welcome. I wanted a place to dig out those dustier MOCs and get them circulating again. Too often nice stuff goes unnoticed and I think it's important for builders to get good feedback on their work.

Great idea for a group, James! I certainly have some forgotten gems that I'd like to give another try.

You're welcome. I sent out a handful of initial invites to folks that I knew had some really good stuff hidden. Stuff that should be seen. For general notice, I just sent the news out to MOCPages News where most of the active folks know to look now.

Hi! Thanks for the invite :-) It's getting late here, but i'll look through my posted MOCs soon to see if i have something that fits the criteria for posting here.

Over 441,149 and counting, and there's only 365 that can be MOC of the Day each year, and another 3 each day that will be "this day 5 years ago". At best that's 1,460 that could be dug up without an in-depth search each year. With that in mind, it'd be centuries before we'd get through everything assuming we stopped building!

Oh that one! That was early days and i was never really pleased with it to be honest. Both my skills and collection have grown since then, but i guess it is a decent MOC anyway.
It does fit the criteria, so i'll post that one and another one i found in a moment :-)

You're right about that! A little tip: Try searching 'modular' and see what turns up. I found some great houses with low ratings recently looking for inspiration for a build.

I propose to create a separate topic where you post links to other people's undervalued work. Definitely with a short description of why they deserve it.

I have no problem with this, but I can't force anyone to join the group, and inviting inactive accounts doesn't accomplish much. I think the best thing may be word of mouth as people who are still active chose to come here. That said, if you know a few active folks who have some nice older stuff that never got noticed, I'm not adverse to sending a few more invites.

I really like this idea. I've seen quite a few of these but would have to do some digging to find them again.

It's done. We have a new thread. Same rules as the group, five likes or less and at least a month old. But I would prefer it used primarily for those users who have gone inactive since active users may chose to join us here and post their own things.

I posted a new MOC but I can't put it in Forgotten Gems for 2 reasons. (1.) It isn't old enough yet. (2.)It is already receiving as much attention as it deserves. -||- Basically, it isn't forgotten and it isn't a gem! If you get a chance, you might comment on it anyway. Hmm, prior comment didn't come out right... tongue in cheek doesn't work with heatsickness... Anyway, gem is relative, as my definition isn't strictly about other people's perception, rather whether or not you are proud of the work. I have noted that people are slow to respond this week. I think I've gotten 1 comment all week, not that I've posted much, but some weeks it just seems hard to come by views. I think you're in one of those weeks (more one of those months with holiday for a lot of people). I don't think what you posted is a bad build, and I certainly don't think it "deserves" only 20 views. Rather it deserves to be viewed and critiqued fairly for what it is, which is an operational military police style vehicle.

It appears you read the description for the Mark01. Thank you, that means some thing to me. Sorry to hear about your heatsickness.

I upload every once in a while, but when I do I usually get good attention. Motorized boats really need the attention they deserve considering that they are just so rare.

It's my own fault. I agreed to do an outdoor event with the LUG and at 90+ degrees even in the shade I didn't fare too well.

I read and visit the vast bulk of pages posted. I comment on about 1 in 30 or so right now. Sometimes I can't think of anything to say.

Nice! I even commented on it :-) If i remember correctly, Discovery showed a feature once on the SU 27, with clips of the armored cockpit resisting heavy fire!

I actually have a newer and much better version of my SU 37 posted. It has gotten plenty of attention though, way too much to post it in this group :-D

Cool (to both paragraphs!) I actually have checked out the new Su-37 - it's awesome!

Hi, just joined. Nice idea for a group. Also, do accidentally deleted creations that had likes but now don't count? I accidentally deleted some of my greatest MOCs (including my most liked one) and now have zero likes on them.

AHA! Marco, apparently the likes just don't show 'till someone else gives a new like.
It is once again your most popular creation!
Cheers! :D

As long as they've been up for a month and have less than 5 likes, I don't have a problem with it, but you might want to check to see if your deleted files option has the old version still in it. Occasionally you can recover stuff.

-||- I regret to inform you that I am not likely to have any more forgotten gems because I am not likely to have any more gems, forgotten or otherwise. I am working on a large model which my computer can barely handle. I doubt I will ever finish it. I still plan to post smaller models, many of which I have already mentioned elsewhere.
