I have a life.

The final event of the MOCer Games is now open! Anyone with a MOCpages account is eligible to enter, whether or not they have participated in past MOCer Games events.

This event is designed to challenge builders to use as few pieces as possible to create a well-built MOC. At the end of your post, you must include a photo of the entry completely disassembled.

You may build in any scale.

Category Choices:

Vehicles: 50 pieces or less

Set Alternates: 100 pieces or less

Architecture: 150 pieces or less

If we find that your entry goes over the limit, you will be penalized.

Judging format:

Build /10: How well the thing was built, what pieces were used, what techniques, does it look like the thing being referenced if that exists, etc.

Creativity/Concept /5: What was the idea for the build, how was the theme interpreted, is it unlike anything we've seen before, etc.

Presentation /5: This is important. Clean photos, readable text, etc. Easiest way to earn quick points.

The deadline will be on Sunday, September 24 at 11:59 pm server time. After which, all entries will be judged and the results will be announced, along with the overall Olympian, in the “Closing Ceremony” thread.

Now be off with yourselves, and build.

Count me in! Are there going to be rounds, or just this one big contest?

For category Set alternates, does it mean that the set must have max 100 pieces or does it mean that I can use max 100 pieces from the set?

Alright, so as someone that has done a set alternative thing, the safe way to go is to take a set that is 100 pieces (giver or take a few) and then make an alternate model. I think that in this case, 100 pieces is the maximum for the model you make, but not necessarily the original set. Most times, alternate models don't use all the pieces from the set. Still wait for an official response, but I think this is very fair and the judges would agree with it.

But what if I want to build a robot, animal, or humanoid?

1.: Only 8 contestants at all as in the first prescription? 2.: How many posts at all for one contestant? One per category or one at all/ only one category? :)

I'm not joking man, well kind of joking. I want to build something that is not a vehicle, nor architecture. Outside of just taking a set and making a new model (Which by the way could also result in a vehicle, so how does that work?) I don't know how many pieces my model can have.

Guys, I guess I won't be able to enter this. I have a conference coming up that will be a week long, and I don't have access to my photo-room before then. I might judge at the end, but that will be right after we get back and I'll be rather busy with school and other things, so maybe this is good-bye. Thanks for hosting this great contest City, and thanks to all the competitors for producing such fine builds. Enjoy the final round and have fun!

Not to scare everyone, but tomorrow is the deadline, and because MOCpages can be finicky, I suggest you finish your builds up now so you have time to take photos, make edits, and then finally find a way to post to MOCpages.

You guys have a little over six hours left, and I'm making this reminder because I don't want this to be a default win for being the only one that entered. And I swear, if the judges extend the deadline, I will fight them, especially if there is still no entry during the extension as that always happens.
