Event #2: The MOCer Cup
 Group admin
The Deathmatch may have come to a close, but the action is not over here in the MOCer Games!

The MOCer Cup will be a 2-month-long, single elimination tournament with a variety of competition styles.

Round 1: Free for all round in which anyone can build and produce an entry. They will be scored on a 1-10 scale, for a maximum of 40 points.

Round 2: The top 16, 24, or 32 players (depends on the turnout) from Round 1 will book their place in Round 2. The players who advance will be divided into mini-brackets (which will be referred to as groups) of 4. Judges will similarly rate the entries on a 1-10 scale. The top two from each group will advance.

Round 3: The top two from each group will go head-to-head with each other with judges voting for the best entry in each match.

Round 4: The remaining 4, 6, or 8 players will play head-to-head matches similar to Round 3.

Round 5: The remaining 2, 3, or 4 players will go in a showdown to determine the MOCer Cup Champion. Entries will be scored on a 1-10 scale from each judge, just like Round 1.

Since our panel contains an even number of judges, ties are likely. In all rounds, cumulative scores from all the previous round(s) will be used as a tiebreaker. If scores are still tied, then a guest judge will be enlisted to resolve the tie.

If you know that you will be able to participate, please sign up in this thread. This will help us to determine how big the contest will be.

DATES:

Round 1: July 10-23

Round 2: July 28-August 6

Round 3: August 11-20

Round 4: August 25-September 3

Round 5: September 8-17

If I'm understanding this correctly, rounds 3 and 4 will be one on one with the judges voting for 1 of the 2 entries , and round 5 might be one on one too?
