I have decided to start on July 1st, which is two weeks earlier than planned.

We have hit 20 sign-ups!

Because of this, the contest must expand to have another round. Well, it doesn't HAVE to, but getting in the top 8 out of 20 would be hard. The top 16 out of 20 is pretty easy.

Also, the format has slightly changed. Read the thread entitled "There's a special format too?" for more information.

Looks like the group icon was hacked!

I have reverted it to C Stucky's Mountain Bridge, which was the winner of Contest Central's most recent challenge.

I would like to announce the opening of the "MOCS Contest", hosted by Hadden Kurtz. It starts right after Round 1 ends, so if you get eliminated in Round 1 (or you want to be in 2 contests at once), you should participate in that.

The scores are now done! We are just waiting on our tiebreaker judge to break a tie and then the scores will be posted.

A few clarifications for our newer players:

In Lego contests, the amount of people that advance from the first round is the highest "Power of two" that can be made with the number of entries. If you play the game 2048, I'm sure you will be familiar with the sequence: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64...

The reason for this is to make sure that there is always one person left at the end. For example, if we took in the top 12, there would be 12 in Round 2, 6 in Round 3, and 3 in Round 4. How will we put those three into match-ups?

Now with the people that advanced to Round 2, they are seeded "high-low bracket style." In our case, where 16 advanced, that would mean 1st plays 16th, 2nd plays 15th, 3rd plays 14th, etc. This is so the top 50% of people that advanced to Round 2 do not have to play each other until Round 3.

Remember: if you don't post an entry in time, your opponent advances by default. It would be quite upsetting to have been eliminated because you didn't post.

This is probably the first comment after MOCpages came back up. I am just compiling the results of our fifth judge, and then Round 3 will be posted.

Attention!

Thanks a lot Chris for spoiling this contest. XD
Anyway, if you haven't realized yet, the MocOlympics have now started. We might make a few changes to the MMO to accommodate for that. Judges, to the lounge! We have a few things to discuss.
