I've written a welcome post for the Hub, which you can see here, temporarily hiding on the page of one of my older posts:
http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/361799

If you have any feedback on that, I would love to hear it.

Also, it would be great if we could have some other posts for each/most of the founding groups (Star Wars Lego Creations, Fellowship of the Brick, TFOL Private Club, Lands of Mythron, The Insurgency, Christian TFOLs) to fill out the news feed. If other people could write brief intruductions for their own groups, I can do one for the Lands of Mythron... and then we can post them all from the Hub account, open the group, and start inviting people!

It looks fantastic Gilbert! Unfortunately this whole initiative can't work because of the inactivity and lack of sustaining passion of the people that are part of this. I for one can help with the technical side and whatnot and a case-by-case "hey can you do this" kind of thing, but other than that it's pretty much a lost cause.

You posted this a whole month ago with no response....let alone draft posts from other groups.

If this is ever to rise again, 3 very committed people, and 5 other semi-committed people (you can count me in as one of those) to help out when necessary are required to keep something like this afloat, active, and interesting for people to even begin to choose to spend time here.

Sorry to sound bleak to those reading this, but this isn't happening any time soon (at least successfully). Even if the 8 people aforementioned suddenly appear, I'd want to see a 6-week endurance test run with many "buffer" posts are written and a plan is put into how to keep this group running before opening the group.

That's fair. We should let this go for now, although I might check again with the leadership of the other active groups for volunteers. Actually, if that doesn't work, I might make a public call, too - it might be worth starting out with some less-experienced staff if it means at least starting (though I'm a little uneasy about that).

Yeah, I'm with David, it's a fantastic initiative, and everything you've produced is great, but it's sadly looking hopeless.

Honestly, I feel like for something like this to truly get off the ground, to really work, we'd need full co-operation from Sean and the staff, which I'm just not sure we'll get. Sean is a busy man, after all. This feels very much like an attempt to revitalise MocPages with what we've already got, which, while valiant, is futile, as I feel that a much more radical change is needed.

Yeah... everything has been said. It's still a great idea, and as for feedback on the opening blurb, it sounds great to me, but people just aren't active enough. I'm active but don't FULLY understand everything that we are doing here, although I'm happy to do the bits I can. I can write up a blurb for The Insurgency, if still required though.

Opening Blurb for The Insurgency:

The Insurgency is a player-driven, Science-Fiction Role-Playing game. Set in Earth's future, a mysterious event known as 'The Shift' has moved the planet Earth into a completely new star system. Unsure of how or why this happened, war erupted across both the planet and it's new galactic neighbors.
With the Galactic Imperium in charge, the freedom-fighters of Aurelia battling for radical change, Marauders playing both sides and making money wherever they can and the Universe-travelling Collective bringing true power into the system, the battle for control is very real.
Players create a character and can join any one of the four factions and then enter creations that tell their character's story. With monthly challenges, leagues, shops and much more, in The Insurgency, there is never a quiet moment.

There you go. I hope this is along the right lines.

Perhaps this year's MocOlympics can help with revitalizing MOCpages.

I don't know how often people check in here, but I drop in occasionally, and check MOCpages 2-3 times a week.
