A good idea is to look at some pictures of Flank 88s and what not. you can go to Google Image and search for some photographs. The idea is to find the distinct features that make it reconizable just by looking at it. If you want to add some really cool detail to it, you could look for old blueprints of artillary in books or on the web. It's always good to know how your creation works in real life so you can make it as real as possible. Happy building!

The way I do it is to find some recognizable feature such as a certain function or mechanism and attempt to build a creation around it. The Flak 88 has a very characteristic barrel assembly and recoil mechanism and from which you can try to build a creation from.
