1000 years after the fall of Makuta, war and carnage still rages across the island of Nambu Nui, and matoran struggle to stay alive amidst the post-aypocaliptic rubble of their once great cities. However, the fight is not over land at this point. Over the centuries, as technology advanced, tensions steadily rose between those matoran who were given powers by the great spirit and those who had none.
Lakkawn, who did not have powers, grew up in this tension and was enlisted into service when war finally broke out. He graduated from the military at the top of his class as a master marksman and military engineer. He revolutionized the armor industry with the invention of his Trans-Armor system, which enables the user to instantly change armors using dimentional storage technology.
This in turn made him very rich, and also a target of assassins. In an effort to escape these assassination attempts, he began work on a teleportation system that would enable him to escape instantly if and whenever a threat occurred.
After many successful tests, he prepared to test out the machine himself, when a very powerful assassin broke into his lab. In a desperate attempt to escape, he activated the machine and was successfully teleported away, but not before the would-be assassin struck the control panel.
Lakkawn awoke to find himself in a lush forest with no sign of civilization anywhere. After journeying for some time, he came across Onu-Nambu, where he came to the realization that he had travelled 1000 years into the past.
Not knowing what to do, he does the only thing he can think of, and joins the northern military. He was not concerned with the reasons for the war. He just followed his orders without question, which is what reminded him of his home.
His skills as a master engineer were praised when he constructed his three-in-one gatling gun, since projectile weapons were in their infancy then. When he displayed his armor changing tech, the other matoran thought they were his incredible powers, which he enjoyed, since he had grown up desiring to have powers of his own. And this is where the story begins… Permalink

cracks are appearing in the peace. its 15 years after teridaxes fall and a new enemy has arisen. this time there is no unity. this time duty to fight for. this time, there is no destiny to aim for.
basically, flip the three virtues
I agree w/ Bizzard, sounds like a great story. Permalink
