Oh. Good. I'm actually still alive this far into my freshman year of high school. AHHHH!!! I HATE my math class. But other than that I am fine.

Went to camp over the weekend, that was fun

Okay, mister Daniel, I will finish my answer her, but be warnned, it's a long one. Let me tell you what my God has done in and around me.

I went to youth camp with the rest of our yearly diminishing group. But unlike years past, I didn't get saved, or rededicate my life, or even promise to turn around. No, the speaker gave a fourth invitation that felt so right that I most nearly jumpped the pew just to get up front where we were called to stand.

You might ask what I meant by in and around me. Simply this: the first night an invitation was given I was left alone in the pew. All of my group did one of the three things mentioned previously. But I didn't notice this so much as I noticed the great number of students who came forward to accept Christ in ernest and I thought to myself, "the angels are having one heck of a party, and I'm missing out." Which was followed by, "Joe, you're such an idiot." When I thought this, a big stupid smile cut across my face. It was as close to the angel's party as I was getting and I took it. I couldn't stop smiling (my face hurt all that night.). I knew that all those who were going downstairs were going to accept Christ and would return not as strangers, not as friends, but as family. Boy I was eager to see that happen.

Another thing you need to know is that in my entire life, I've known that I was meant to do great things. It's just a feeling, but it's also a feeling that grows stronger as I'm spending time in the Word. So obviously I'm not meant to do great things for Joe bot rather for God, and God through me. Which leads me to my biggest takaway of the week.

Granted I can't speak for everyone else, but basically what I took away was that we are weak and can only ever be truely strong through Christ. It's like Phil. 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." It doesn't say, "I can do all things through Joe who- " nah it doesn't say that. We are weak and it is through Christ alone that we can be strong. That said, bit of a side track actually, let me get back to my point.
So as I said, my entire life I've felt that way. So it should have come as no surprise when the youth, months ago, did a "spiritual gifts test (Like a personality test in format)" that my answers lead to my result which said pastoral. When we were asked to share, I might have but two things stopped me. My pride and the fact that the teacher just didn't ask me. My pride was the bigger of the two. I said to myself, "Dag, I don't want to be a pastor!" So then I was conflicted, and then satan found his footing in my life and it went down just a little. it was during this struggle that I went to youth camp.
So there I sat, second night that the speaker gave an invitation, and he told the audience that he didn't normally call this last one, but God had laid it on his heart to call so he did. He asked for everyone but those who felt called to full-time ministry to sit down. And, well, myself and eleven brothers and sisters beside (I think) remained standing. My entire life came together at a focal point and it was from that point that I saw how God was preparing me for this. That is how my Jesus has been working in my life.

Have you ever stopped and wondered what the New Testament would have looked like if Jesus transformmed into a hawk-man like Maui in "Moana" to get places?
Can you imagine if someone approached the diciples and said,"Thou art the diciples of Jesus of Nazereth, but wherefore art the Christ, the living Word?" And the diciples just thow pointing fingers skyward and reply, "forsooth, the bird is the Word."
