Am I allowed to create a topic? Or is that only for the administrators? I'm mostly curious, but I do have an idea for a topic.

No, you cannot. But if you have an idea for a thread you can probably just suggest them.

Yeah, as has been said, we generally restrict creation of topics to staff members (so, at the moment, just RK and I), but, of course, feel free to suggest your idea, if it sounds good we'll happily allow you to make it.

It may also be worth checking back in the conversations to see if a similar thread to yours already exists.

Thanks for answering. If there isn't one already, I'd like to start a topic on modifying minifigures. I don't do it really, but I was wondering if anybody else had any tips or such.

Not sure it needs a thread of its own, but feel free to chat away about it in the general Convo threads!

Nothing that's been mentioned, but it's a war and don't forget, it's you guys who create the story! If you say that there is one, then there is!

Are you required to add dates to the beginning of your posts? I'd rather not if I don't have to clarify it's not in the present. :P Or if somebody could help me out that'd be nice.

I'm pretty sure they're optional, but I like using them as it helps to establish a solid continuity between the many different stories.

I always do, helps me keep track of where my characters are at and when.

It's not a requirement, but GC entries MUST be set in the current month and adding dates to episodes helps to establish where your characters are at and when etc, as others have already said. It just helps with overall continuity between everybody's stories. And there's nothing stopping you from having flashbacks either, but you cannot set an episode in the future.

Well, it's a month from System 54 to 55, then another 4 or 5 days to Husk (assuming you traveled to Deltar 5.)

Well you have to use a warp drive to get to System 55, and then if you used it again to get from Deltar 5 to Husk, it would be another few days. As for speed... uh... warp speed?

I did some digging...NASA's new horizon probe does 38,000 miles per hour and obviously tech in 2097 is better, so (insert large number here) miles per hour for a month straight.

Well, the closest system from the Solar System is 4.37 light years away. If we assume that System 55 is closer at, say, 2 lightyears away, and you're travelling in a fighter, you would be going 1.224x10^10miles per hour. Light travels at 670600000 miles per hour, so the warp drive makes the ship 18.2 times faster than the speed of light.

Considering the Enterprise had the ability to go 140 times the speed of light ( and Star Wars hyperspace is about 2,000 lightyears an hour!) I'd like to think it's a pretty good assumption. Hope this helps!

Alright. I am trying to find information on The Fire Pits of Rerador. I'm assuming that it's a region with a lot of volcanic activity but as far as I know the only time I know of it being used before is in IAD'S insurgency season 2 #3: Out of the frying pan. Is there any other times it has been used?a or perhaps more info about it that I might have overlooked?

Good thought, but unfortunately not. The warp drive needed to power a cruiser would be much bigger than the one I assume you'd be using on your own ship!

That's what I thought. I assume that I'd have to buy a new warp drive for the cruiser then? If that's the case I think I'll save the engineer league for after I save up enough to buy a cruiser.

Hmm. It's an interesting point. My initial response is that if you're getting a brand new cruiser, I imagine that they are all built with warp capabilities these days, so you wouldn't need a separate one. But I'll speak with Iad' and see what he thinks too.

I'd always imagined The Fire Pits being an area that was somewhat ironically named. It's actually relatively low in volcanic activity compared to the rest of Rerador, but is named so ominously due to the incredibly high levels of crime and stuff there. But of course that's just what I'd imagined, feel free to change it if you'd like. [IAD]

Thanks! I actually was thinking about having it be an ironic name but I didn't want to mess up any of the plans you had for the Fire Pits. I guess my depiction of it being like a space age Gotham city with no batman is pretty close. :P

Yeah, they're called Wasps. I think they were actually originally created by George Marshall. The head of the wasps is Wing Commander Nicholas Rocksholme.

Oops. I forgot about that. There first appearance was in George Marshal's intro

However I believe Kermunklin's Max Power was the first time we saw them in action. But don't hold me to that since i'm certainly no expert on the early days of the insurgency.

In response to the recent "signs of the Mocpages Apocalypse." I was wondering how prepared we are for the Insergency's "Impending evacuation to Flickr." Like do we have the recent species directory, Leader boards, and Timeline saved somewhere? The main reason I'm asking is if it's okay with The Admins I'd like volunteer to document the files of the Insurgency (With the exception of the creations) each time they are updated. Unless we are already doing such. That way when the A-Moc-alypse comes we'll be prepared.

So. I've been reading through some of the older stories on the insurgency (just about to finish Griffin's) and I was wondering. Are the Games going to make a return some time in the future or was that a one time thing? I myself thought it was a brilliant idea and was slightly surprised that it hadn't been an annual event.

The Games were in place during the Collective War. As the war is now over, it is forbidden for The Games Masters to take people from System 54/55 to participate. We did like the games, and who knows, maybe they'll one day make a return, but for now, they're over.
