Car of the Month | August 2014
 Group admin
Welcome to the Exotic Sports Car Club's first Car of the Month contest, August 2014!
Just a brief reminder of what the contest is:
-choose your best or favourite model car that you have made in the past month, and comment in this thread with a link and a brief description of why you chose your model etc.
-at the end of each month, a small panel of judges (yet to be confirmed) will privately vote on the best model and elect the car of the month!
-the winning car of the month will be displayed on the group homepage with the month it won.
-all 12 cars of the month from the year will be put forward for car of the year and group members will be able to vote for their favourite!

The rules:
-entries MUST abide by the Exotic Sports Car Club rules, any entries that don't match this will be disqualified.
-please do not go into massive detail in your description, it must be brief.
-only 1 entry per person per month.

Now that is all cleared, best of luck and enjoy!
Finally, we expect to see entries later in the month as some people do build several in a month, and you don't know your best until they are all made ;)

Yay! Can't wait! I think I'll upload the Ace straight away, I don't think I'll get anything better done this month.

The fashionably late Prowler Ace. Theoretical rival to the Ferrari 458, McLaren 650S and Fiat Uno.

Only a few hours left to enter!

Also, I want to remind everyone that you must provide a link of your entry in this conversation topic to be eligible. Simply adding to the group pool doesn't count.

We have reached a conclusion that the winner of the first "Car of the Month" is...
Dave Slater's 1969 Baldwin-Motion Phase III SS-427 Corvette
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/395601
His creation (very) accurately replicates the Corvette. We were so impressed with the way he achieved the overall curves.

Runner-up is Bing-Bong Brother's Porsche 959
http://mocpages.com/moc.php/394116
What stood out to us the most in this one was the amount of functions (steering, suspension, etc) that were crammed into a car of this scale.

Congratulations to Dave Slater, his Corvette is a very worthy winner and will now be proudly displayed upon the exotic sports car club homepage! Also, congratulations to the Bing Bong brothers, there Porsche 959 was also a brilliant model! Lets get more people to enter for next time :)

Many conratulations to our winners! I won't be building anything Exotic for a while (unless you consider a Morgan 3-wheerer "exotic"), so I won''t have much to say. I'm free to judge for the next2 or 3 months!
